As the title suggest, per the Sunday preview article, new Kroot Combat Patrol rules  Crusade rules and a mini-game (?) are coming in this month's issue of White Dwarf. I suspect that like the previous White Dwarf combat patrols, this one will migrate over to the app at some point.

From the article:

"September’s issue of White Dwarf is packed with fantastic Warahmmer articles. Kroot mercenaries are the core focus, with rules for a new combat patrol, taking your Kroot on crusade, and a monster-hunting mission alongside an in-depth history of these alien mercenaries. For Warhammer Age of Sigmar fans, A Tale of Four Warlords bows out with a huge four-player battle, while there is a two-player Stormcast Eternals and Skaven campaign.

The Warhammer Studio is showcasing six fantastic 3,000-point armies painted for their Ollanz cluster campaign for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy.*"

* delayed in Japan

Excited to see more Kroot specific Crusade content too- they were represented in Crusade content from the dex, but not as much as they might have been, so this is nice.

I wonder how "Mercenary" their rules for acting as Mercenaries will be.

The article about the new White Dwarf gives us our best look at the new Kroot Combat Patrol...and it looks expensive?

"The Kroot love smaller scale engagements, where they can make greater use of their hunting skills. Rules for Na’Pok’s Hunters let you bring your meat-munching mercenaries to games of Combat Patrol.*"

We also get a (short look) at the Crusade rules and the included mini game.

"On top of that, there are rules for fielding whole armies of Kroot in Crusade games, where they bind themselves to a pact in order to further their own agenda – no matter the cost. When times are lean, Kroot tribes may clash over hunting grounds, and rules for Predators and Prey missions let you work out territorial disputes while scoring some big game trophies – and lots of delicious flesh – in the process."

*- Rules will appear on both Warhammer Community and the 40k app after a while.

Do the rampagers have any build options to make them different since you get 6 ?

2/3 of the riders have customization options, and a few of the Krootox have alternate heads. Weapon or head swaps with other kits is particularly hard.though if you have an existing Kroot collection

isnt it more or less the army box they did before?

These questions assume its a new boxset (?). But afaik this is not a new boxset coming, just combat patrol rules where you need to buy the unit seperately yourself, at least thats how these WD combat patrols work right ?

Oh I'm sure this won't be an actual Combat Patrol box, the two I bothered to cost up (as they're armies that interest me, Guard and T'au) came in at about £150 GW prices, this is £210.

I get that details on basic troops have massively jumped over the years and obviously, costs have risen but over £30 for ten troops makes me sad, especially when you can field 20 in a unit.

I miss the days of 20 troop boxes of Shock Troopers (again, don't get me wrong, details are massively improved) or the old Space Wolf battleforce of 20 infantry, 3 bikers and a Rhino.

Dire avengers who were in boxes of 10, doubled in price, had the contents cut to 5 and then doubled in price again. All with no new sculpts. There's worse offenders.

Really curious about the Predator and Prey rules (Creatures, nest and lures). It looks like they may be usable with or without Crusade, which is hella cool. Harkens back to the kind of campaign content we used to get in Campaign books and Flashpoints.
