Crablezworth
So this has been a long time coming, the final pieces had only recently arrived. The canal being one of the final components. I wanted a board that is very much inspired by the best of classic rts like command and conquer or stracraft. All 3 bridges are press fit and removeable, so if we did want to try playing with li's rules for destructible bridges we definitely could. I think the plan for this week's game is just to to have them not be destructible. The rivers/canals themselves are a good size, the modularity is great and they're big enough to fit grimdark terrain ships. They also seem fairly economical in fdm, and with 4x4 inch section its actually doesn't take that many to get a sizeable canal going. I still have to make an area terrain piece for the big grimdark palace structure before the game. There are 9 structures overall, the big one I mentioned and 8 other civitas structures. The big crate storage warehouse at the back left will just be impassable terrain, as will the ship/crate stacks statue, pump station, satellite bunker and little garage. The little bastions are also likely just little obstacles. DuskRaider, lansalt, DemonGSides and 8 others 4 7 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383896-new-board-setup-for-this-weeks-game-classic-rts-inspired-lots-of-pics/ Share on other sites

Brother Tyler
Is this at a game store/club? Or is it at someone's home? Either way, I'm jealous. I look forward to seeing pictures of games played on this wonderful terrain. Pacific81
The board looks incredible! I am sure it will be a joy to play on and look forward to pics. I did similar C&C-inspired board objectives which had a modular element. Depending on who controlled the objective (marine or Orks) the terrain itself changed.
