CL_Mission
Latest rumour engine is out. Looks scrappy and mechanical, could be related to these other ones skylerboodie 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383944-rumour-engine-10th-september-2024/ Share on other sites
Joe
That's definitely an Age of Sigmar-related tease. You can see the grip attached to the blade, and the aesthetic is consistent with recent Darkoath / Slaves to Darkness weaponry, and we know they'll be receiving a battletome this side of Christmas. Not 40,000 related, at the very least. Aarik
I'm pretty sure the last two images aren't connected to the first two, and are instead castellax achea models for 40k thousand sons. SalamandersBro
Feels like an Orruk Warclans weapon to me. skylerboodie, beefeb and sitnam 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383944-rumour-engine-10th-september-2024/#findComment-6063832 Share on other sites
Xenith
Don't think this image related to the others, my thought was AoS orks also, but the small hand on it doesn't seem orky - gnoblar food preparation model for ogres? We'll leave this open a little longer. DeadFingers
I'd so very much love to say that the Grotesque is in dire need of an update, since Wracks and other Dark Eldar models sport similarly serrated swords, but the rough state of the blade doesn't fit with their aesthetic. Instead it makes me think of the Death Guard, particularly the Plague Surgeon. At least on the 40k end of things. What an odd thing it is though, now that I think about it, that with a second Craftworlds wave looming over the horizon hopefully solving most if not all of their model issues, the range that needs the most love right now is Dark Eldar. A range that until recently I still considered part of the "new" generation is now, outside of stragglers and oddities within various ranges, easily the faction most in need of a general update. The_Worker
That screams AoS Orruk to me, honestly. SalamandersBro 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383944-rumour-engine-10th-september-2024/#findComment-6063945 Share on other sites
Naryn
Have we seen anything in 40k-verse with those v-shaped mounting brackets for weapons? I think of them as an AoS staple. Xirix
I immediately thought AOS seeing that too, I'd be very surprised if it's related to any of the other 3 that OP posted. It is an odd thought. "New" Dark Eldar aren't that new anymore. They are normally the plastics I consider up to date... Let's hope they get some of their old Finecast releases back from the dead.
