What are you getting next post BA Supplement?

Just curious; what are you excited about getting for your collection next now our releases are coming out?

 

For me it's:

Probably the CP and the new Sang Priest just to say I have them all.

 

If you're hurting for first born parts, I've got a LOT of legs chests and arms. I've harvested most of the heads, shoulders and weapons.

Yeah the scale/proportions were a shock to me; they don't feel that small when I'm looking at a FB DC battle brother, but slap em into a primaris hand and suddenly it's a perfect pistol variant.

 

Happy to have some more bling to throw at the new guys.

I am going to rejig the loadout on the FB Death Company a little to match the new profiles. I can't be bothered to replace perfectly good models with Primaris. As long as the loadout lines up, I should be fine. I never went crazy with Thunder Hammers etc in previous editions so this should be pretty easy. The main challenge has been finding some FB-scale Eviscerators but this looks like a good solution.

For me, I’m going to get the combat patrol, plus an extra captain and the sanguinary priest!

I might get some FW melee weapon packs whilst they are still available in 28 mm heroic scale as they have eviscerators in them.

I was just underwhelmed by the whole release really. I don't plan on picking up any of the new models as nothing really excited me. I like the new Captain but I recently painted the Ltd edition Captain with power fist and I don't really need another. I will update my existing Sanguinary Guard and Death Company in line with the new unit stats but I am happy with my current models.

Yeah not happy with the lack of bespoke kits, but I just like the Primaris scale so much better than firstborn that I'm happy to make the conversions. Plus I do the hobby for the modelling and kitbashing, so I am just thrilled to have some work ahead of me.

 

Do I wish we had something to source bits as good as the FBDC and FB BA tac squads? Absolutely. Thankfully I have purchased enough copies of both to have quite the collection of bits, but eventually when those run out I'll be hoping that either 30k got around to some BA legion specific bits or that we are due for another BA refresh lol

I really hated mixing fb and primaris so although the new models aren’t perfect I’m jumping back in to blood angels after an edition out.

 

next for me is combat patrol and a priest. I’d also like to get another box of SG for spare options and enough death masks (inc the one from the captain) to use on my death company with jump packs.

I'm not in a position to be buying much for the next few months, quite aside from the cyclopean scale of my pile of shame I'm in the early stages of moving, so hobbying is taking a backseat. Once I'm settled again however I'm probably only going to get the new Sang Priest, Lemartes and maybe the Captain. Lemartes has grown on me as i've seen him with other pain jobs, and I'll be kit-bashing him into a custom character regardless, thankfully it seems that there's enough there to work with. The Captain is mostly for the sake of bits that I'd use to improve the Sang Priest, especially the Chainsword, otherwise I dont really need any more captains, but i might as well make use of him anyway haha.

 

I actually rather like the Astorath model (with the face as a caveat) but i also really like the resin one and feel no urge to replace him. You couldn't pay me to include the new Sang Guard in my collection. And until this very moment i had forgotten about the Sanguinor, who i will probably grab eventually. Unless i find a proxy that i like more. Honestly i have the FW Sanguinius, i might just use him as a stand in for the foreseeable future.

 

Eventually i might pick up one of the upgrade sprues, but im in no rush to, 90% of the bits in it i already have enough of for now, and i have no real use for over half of the pauldrons as I don't use almost any Indomitus Terminators or Phobos armoured marines.

I actually.liked the new SG so when they release I'm going to buy two boxes of them, plus the sanguinor and.i'm finally.going to get the primaris Dante as well.

I've got two Death Company boxes to get through before I start thinking about new stuff. But I'm planning my BA as a collection rather than just an army so I will be adding loads of stuff over the years.

 

I will of course cave early so I think the new Sanguinary Priest is on the cards as I would like to try him leading a large Assault Intercessor Squad and/or Hellblasters with an LT. Plus in my opinion he's the best looking marine character released this year.

 

I do want to field two large squads of Sanguinary Guard at some point as well. And since I already have Dante the Sanguinor makes sense to add as well.

 

Thank god I have a 2nd part time job to pay for toy soldiers!

Another squad or two of  Jump Assault Intercessors. Need to see if I have some spare infiltrators lying around. I have a test Sang guard on the 3D printer right now now so I will see how he comes together before I decide if I am going to print or buy. Same for Death company. I might need some more inceptors as I think my one plasma squad is tasked out.

I'm not interested in the SG or DC kits at all, and I've got plenty of both of them from the FB kits.
