Hey all.

I own the Leviathan objective deck for 10th edition, and I know the Pariah Nexus deck came out not too long ago. Is playing with one a better choice for Space Marines vs the other? I play Black Templars and I'm going to do a second collection in the future of Raven Guard. I'm not asking this from a cheeseball perspective, but more of a "I don't want to spend $35 for a new tactical objective deck if I don't have to?" perspective.

Thanks.

I don't think either deck benefits Marines particularly more than the other. Having said that, I think the missions and Objectives in the Pariah Nexus deck are more fun to play so it is worth picking up from that POV.

I'd just grab one of the apps. Tabletop Battles has a really good app that both tracks missions and points as well as set up and then creates a really nice score sheet at the end for sharing.

As GSides mentions, the Tabletop Battles apps work well for tracking missions, points etc but it also allows you to randomise which objectives you pull so you don't need the cards as such. The only problem with this is that it doesn't actually tell you the Secondary mission scoring parameters, just the name of the mission. Great if you know it off by heart! :biggrin: Edit: I'm corrected, it does include the scoring parameters

Someone on Reddit created a print out document whilst GW had no stock of the Pariah Nexus deck:

It's designed to go in Magic the Gathering or the same size card sleeves, I've done it personally and it works well if you slip a card in behind it or glue it to an MtG card. Saved me a good amount of money too! :biggrin:

Pariah Nexus has been very fun for me personally (I don't play SM though), the missions work a bit better and the Gambits are actually achievable which make for better and closer games

Idk, I think the missions are pretty well explained in the app;

It won't let you over score, and it will limit you on primary stuff as well. There's legitimately no need for cards if you're using the app, it even includes the terrain and objective lay outs.

I was literally using it to score games at the weekend, you're totally right! :facepalm::biggrin:

I do like the MTG Proxy method tho, and I might steal that as idea as sometimes it's nice to have the full mission stuff at a quick glance.
