GreenWolf
Hello! I am very new to playing Warhammer 40K and could use some help. My friends have invited me to join a tournament where you play two in pairs against others. Each army should be 1250 points each. Max one unit of each datasheet (2 for Battleline). Can someone help me with a 1250 point army? What else would I need to purchase? I can buy 4-5 other squads/characters. Preferably Primaris. What I have is: 1 librarian 1 Logan Grimnar on Stormrider (can also be used without Stormrider) 1 Drop pod 5 Wulfen 1 Redemptor Dreadnought 10 Infernus 10 Intercessors 5 infiltrators 3 Outriders 1 Impulsor Is Ragnar Blackmane worth acquiring? Assault Intercessors? Terminators? Hounds of Morkai? Bladeguards Veterans? Thanks in advance for the help Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383973-1250-points-space-wolves-army/ Share on other sites
Apokalypsi
Ragnar with bladeguard in the impulsor is definitely worth it. Ragnar can do some real work if you're using Champions of Russ. Logan with Termies are another good option, just slower. Karhedron
I love my Bladeguard Veterans too. Put 6 and Ragnar in an Impulsor with Shield Dome. Turn 1, move up ready for charge. Turn 2, Disembark 3", move 6", Advance D6" and then Charge 2D6" = PROFIT! You can often pull off a 1st turn charge if your opponent goes first and is careless. A squad led by Ragnar has an average threat range of nearly 20" when jumping out of an Impulsor which can catch a lot of people out.
