I have finally built and primed my Pile Of Orks (POO™), so I am starting my own Waaagh. It will be the quietest, the sneakiest Waaaagh on the whole Armageddon - gathered around no one else than the master of ambush, the Snikrot himself.

I have painted few Grots as test models for skin shade and chosen two out of six paint mixes

Next, I want to paint the remaining gitz and start working on Kommandos and Snikrot.

First squad of Gretchin is done. These ones (with more olive coloured skin) are a coming from the Meka Gluks tribe, which came to the Armageddon recently on some space junk-ship. The ones that survived the fire from Armageddon's anti-aircraft defence forces and following blast, started to organize quickly around the tribe Meks, which started building orky machines of destruction, from the rubble remaining from their spacecraft.

As most of the tribe follows Blood Axes culture, they quickly pledged support for Boss Snikrot, who managed to sneak to their warboss Bombmasta shack without being noticed, and 'almost' cut his throat, before the Bombmasta acknowledged own inferiority.

Here is a picture of all painted minis (I will try to add such photo each time I have an addition)P_20240918_093404_1.thumb.jpg.f9a4f9eca8ab60380e1ccbdab4f27231.jpg

BTW - Runtherd model is extremely flavourful for someone worth ~5 points. There are a lot of small details, telling different stories, like his missing finger

Second squad of Gretchin is finally done (I had very limited time for hobby recently).

The more greeny-skinned tribe called Squig Friks is native to Armageddon - they live in its Equatorial Jungle and (aside from constantly fighting with Human forces on the planet) are renowned for their Squig herds. They are quite feral (even for Orks standards) and most of the tribe is a part of the Snakebites clan - usually following the Beastsnaggas path. Squig Friks tribe has very limited access to Meks (its members rarely have such capabilities), but has a higher-than-standard amount of Weirdboys. Even its leader, Borrug The Tamer, is told to have some limited psychic capabilites.

Non-widely-known fact about the tribe is that they posses access to some nuclear warheads, looted during the Second War for Armageddon. While they posses such potential weapons, their lack of Meks makes it impossible for them to use (and they do not let other tribes to know about their secret weapons).

They have joined the Snikrot cause after Borrug had a vision of the Greatest Waaaaagh! since the one called by Ghazghkull and his tribes warriors flying to battle on the nuclear rockets, all due to Snikrots convoluted plans - the day Snikrot entered their camp, he was greeted by the Warboss and acknowledged as the 'Even Bigger Boss Than The Biggest Boss Borrug'.

And next step - Boss Snikrot, Painboy, neo Boss Nob (acting as Warboss) and Boss Nob:

PS: I have a very primitive photo setup (no proper light source) and days when I could use natural light are coming to an end due to the Autumn weather. I do have an option to make brighter photos with my phone camera - how are they looking to you? Colours are way more matching the reality than on my regular photos, but something looks off to me:
