Hello All!  I've been a longtime Blood Angels fan and hobbyist.  I rarely play but typically like to build/paint things that could be useful if I were to get in any gaming.  When I saw the new box come out it felt like a good time to pick up my old Blood Angels.

I decided to practice some saltires and simple dusty armor first, and then moved on to Lemartes.  Im enjoying the "dusty" black armor and Lemartes really is a great redesign in my opinion.  With the base it makes me envision an enraged barely controlled berserker has just dropped out of the sky in front of its prey.

I plan on painting up at least 5 death company to go with him and see where things lead from there.

While waiting for the Death Company box to come in the mail I decided to paint up a few scouts I've had in the box since they came out.

No clue what the optimal loadout is but decided to go with whatever I thought was cool.

The only other unit I have fully painted up is a 5 man squad of Terminators and a Captain in Terminator armor.

I decided to go fairly simple with these and felt like painting up white helmets and this is what I came up with.

I just finished my first test marine for my Death Company with Jump packs.  Im pretty happy with how it came out.  The armor is simple, picking out some details to make it come together.  The new heads on the upgrade sprue are really fun to work with.

The black armor is just black and weathering powder? Looks awesome! Maybe I'll try and replicate it. I've never worked with powder before, but I got myself a set a year ago or so. Also you nailed the red crosses! Very crisp and popping.

Pretty much.  I use enamel paint with some thinner to apply it heavy and then wipe it off.  With the base I use some powders as they work better at the end.
