Hello.

I've lurked here for some time but thought I might actually post something finally. I decided to join the forum because of Blackadder's thread making an Imperator Titan, so I can keep up with the progress of this amazing build. I'll probably not post verry frequently as I don't play the tabletop games, but I do enjoy seeing people's painting and builds.

Nowadays I don't collect or play any GW games, but I still remain interested in the (older) artwork and general setting. My first experience with 40K was being bought the 2nd edition boxset in the Christmas of 1998(?) when I was 12. I ended up playing most of the games at the time - Mordheim, Necromunda, Warhammer, 40K, etc., until I was about 16 or so and stopped having much interest in GW outputs. I briefly re-engaged with modelling around the time they squatted the Tomb Kings, and that killed my interest once more.

In the last few years I've found myself interested in the artwork/setting again (partly due to the game Space Marine, and also the Astartes short film). I now work in 3D modelling, and I've been working in on designing my own chapter of marines for fun. I'm hoping to finish properly rigging the model soon and then I can work on some shots of them in action.

Welcome to the B&C!

That’s a fine looking Astartes there.

I think we’ll be seeing a couple of new or returning  members to the Forum with the recent Space Marine II Release, so I guess it’s a good time to stretch your digital legs around here.

There are many ways of participating in the hobby, even if one doesn't play.  For example, we have a number of members who don't play but still enjoy painting and modelling - while I play occasionally (maybe 4 times a year or so), that's certainly my own focus.

So welcome, whether to watch or share your own work!  I'm sure there are people over in the Works in Progress forum would love to see your renders progress - I know there is are couple of users there who predominantly (or only) post renders there.  Folks in the space marine forum(s) might also enjoy them.

Or, in addition (or instead) of posting your own work, your questions and discussion are always welcome on whatever (30-40K+ universe) work or topics might interest you.
