Brothers, sorry, been busy, not sure if you guys already knew this.  I myself haven't been following this, just got news.

The Captain Titus miniature will be available in Warhammer Stores by what looks like September 29th (this is what it said, and since this is from an Asian source, it almost certainly reflects some timezone difference, for you it's 28th.)  It is packaged in something that looks like it'll be the 10th ed 40k Recruit edition OR equivalent (I don't know the exact name it'll use, it might be "Neophyte" or something, but it's like the Recruit editions of 8th and 9th.)

This is NOT the boardgame.  It's like really for 10th ed 40k, but it's Titus...alone, it seems, with a bunch of Gaunts.  The date is clear, Sept 29th (for Asia).

I see little books, like rulebooks.  I can't make out anything else.  I'm seeing this like in this tiny screenshot, I can only make out certain characters.

The guy's not trying to leak anything, this guy might be some FLGS telling his guys to put this on sale Sept 29th (for Asia), not before or any later.

Listen, I can totally see what's up.  People want to buy/sell Space Marine II-related stuff, but they've got an embargo, probably as part of their agreement with whoever's selling the boardgame to give them a lead lag period.  But it's like they want to go as soon as possible, Sept 29th (and 28th for everyone outside Asia) is what it looks like.

Sounds like the US Target box game

That's because it is, just available to everyone through GW.

Honestly, I'm on the fence with getting it, I would like Titus to go with my ultramarine character collection, but I'm not sure I need more gaunts? At the moment I was looking at 20 Termagaunts and 20 Hormagaunts. I think 40 Termagaunts might be overkill.

This is nearly word-for-word what Valrak put out in his video yesterday, just with a date attached. It's missing the paints that were mentioned, however.

Sorry, didn't see the video.  Will do so later.

Yes, now that you mention it, there are definitely paints in the pic.

Whilst you're at it, can you do some digging about chaos dwarfs for AoS please? It's been 84 years since they saw service and I'm sure you could tickle some warp whispers for news. Pretty please :)

Funny thing I heard, is that the Chaod Dwarves were supposed to be for TOW but they got pushed to AoS xD

That makes sense, many factions wouldn't make sense in the current tow setting:yes:

I am considering buying it but changing the iconography of the model to Iron Hands together with a head swap. So far I have no expendable Primaris arms for an arm swap which would mean filing off the UM icon. However I still have the untouched Leviathan box in my possession. Are within that box spare arms which would work with the Titus model? It would of course be easier, if the shoulder pad with the UM icon is not attached to the arm but I guess that won´t be the case.

They can also be much freer in their design in AoS, than in ToW

They're in the same boat as Grand Cathay in that their appearance in TWW3 fits better in AoS than in TOW.

Also, still no rules download for Lieutenant Titus?
Man's got an Illegal Loadout.

Huh.  Looks like the trade out from the Target box for the clippers, paint, and brush was 11 Tyranid minis and dice.

Still, both seem a better value than the Tyranid attack game I picked up from Target.  Pretty slim on the minis.

An interesting little product to get new people in. Nothing wrong with that.

@Chapter Master Valrak As you are the second biggest fan of the Imperial Fists can you dig out anything for me, the firsr biggest Imperial Fists fan, to get excited about?

So this is a 10th edition intro game? Actually pretty cool in that respect and really easy to invest into.

Also, painting one hero model and a small squad of Nids is a very easy way to dip your toes into the hobby and get a taste without it asking for a big time or effort investment.

I actually want this model, and I really enjoyed the SM2 campaign. Will he have 10th edition rules?

Wouldn't it be better if they jut released that miniature separately?

Does anyone actually buy that to play it:ermm:

Lets chuck in some random low cost models and some card to bump the price up:ermm:

Depends what the price is. Has that been announced?

Valrak said it would be "cheap" (in GW terms) but I'm expecting £30-35. Titus, on his own would still be priced £23 based on other examples.

Yeah, this is what I'm expecting. When you consider this comes with 5 pots of paints, it's not bad relatively speaking.

Can't speak for this one specifically, but a lot of GWs boxed games are actually very good. People should actually give them a try rather than just dismissing them.
