Minimum army size for a standard game of AI?

So I bought a bunch of planes for LI and I’m looking at starting AI. I have 3 Xiphons, 2 Storm Eagles, 1 Fire Raptor and 1 Thunderhawk. Is that enough?

That would be more than enough for a reasonably large game if you used them all at once (best part of 200 points).

No prob.  I think most games are in the 50-150 point range.

Personal experience is that much over 150 points gets really screwy for balance. Maneuvers matter less and having more fire arcs matters more. 

 

As a game it is designed to be about positioning and out thinking your opponent, as soon as the board gets crowded it loses a lot of that. 

 

75-125 points is the absolute sweet spot with a single board to play on
