Evil Eye
So in my internet travels, looking up old Forge World models I discovered this thing. I shan't share the exact source of it as, ahem, it's a second generation Manufactorum but it did get me pondering. I've never seen this thing before; at first I thought it was a conversion made from a pair of Forge World Ravens that had been, uh, reproduced, but it has a few parts that don't appear to be from the base kit and look too smoothly integrated into the design to be converted. Does anyone have any idea what this thing is? It looks rather nice, I'll say that much. Solution apologist Posted September 27 Solution Share Posted September 27 (edited) That's a Razorwing, one of Forge World's first Xenos offerings. You can see it in this 2002 catalogue: https://pdfbuildinstructions.com/a020f0pdf/2002-Forge-World-Catalogue.pdf?_gl=1*nc5k0t*_ga*MTkyNTI5ODgwMS4xNzI3NDUxNjI1*_ga_61ME2HZ5DN*MTcyNzQ1MTYyNS4xLjEuMTcyNzQ1MTY1Mi4wLjAuMA.. As with a lot of the early Forge World stuff, it was likely a (very nicely done) conversion from the plastics that was then refined and cast in resin. The rules for it are in one of the early Imperial Armours, I'm fairly sure: Edited September 27 by apologist Ramell, N1SB and Evil Eye 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384078-info-on-a-very-strange-model-twin-fuselage-raven/#findComment-6067085 Share on other sites
Valkyrion
I'm not sure if my pics are fair use, so delete if so and I'll type up the details instead! It was in Imperial Armour II; Orks, Eldar and Dark Eldar - 2001. Evil Eye
Thank you both! That's interesting, especially given the Razorwing Jet Fighter is a thing currently (albeit not a tandem arrangement like this). apologist 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384078-info-on-a-very-strange-model-twin-fuselage-raven/#findComment-6067123 Share on other sites
Wormwoods
Would be difficult not to name that the 'Sick Dubs'. I miss Imperial Armour something fierce, great stuff in there. SirTainly
I remember it being out, It's basically 2 Ravens stuck together. I know many of the guys at FW in that era were massive military history buffs, I expect they were influenced by the He-111z or the P82 Mustang Edited October 3 by SirTainly Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384078-info-on-a-very-strange-model-twin-fuselage-raven/#findComment-6068319 Share on other sites

calgar101
The Dark Eldar definitely got the worse end of the deal when FW starting making Xenos super heavies. It's a shame FW never put much effort into them when it came to Imperial Armour units.
