Latex(?) and seems pretty easy to wash. Plenty of pools for mixing. Not an awful palette at a glance.

I've been using a silicon pop-it fidget toy for a while now, they are pretty nice to use. I don't think this is the worse gimmick GW has made

i'm not an experienced painter and have little self-confidence with mixing, watering down paints, etc, so this looks like a really helpful tool for me

Jokes aside, I usually mix paint on a little piece of kitchentowel (even though I have an unused everlasting wetpallete), so I might actually pick this up.

Whilst I love a GW piece of ephemera, I'll pass on this.

I've a wet palette (that I'm still getting used to) and a nice white tile I bought for £1 at Wickes to replace my cheapie plastic palette.

GW wanting in on the silicone popper palette action, this'll be more than a tenner. 

Least it's white I guess, fidget poppers can be a pain to find in white.

I like it! Personally I prefer wet palettes but for oils or non-aqueous paints I might get that.

This sounds a better idea - why have I never thought to do this!? My kids have umpteen of these things lying around that I could borrow. I'm sure they even have a plain white or grey one.

On the other, they will literally do anything but come out with a wet pallete

 

Not for me but I can appreciate it. I'll stick with my wet pallete and pack of the disposable paper things GW sells that I restock once a year

Well, if it is good enough for Duncan Rhodes!

 

I've a little bit of felt left over from making a dice tray that will glue to the bottom and make it a bit nicer to handle / be classed by Mrs Boltgun as acceptable  for use on the dining table.

According to the article, this replaces the palette paper. But you can get the same thing much cheaper online, fyi. I ordered some that cost the same as GW's but was 2 pads, each a4 sized and with more sheets than GW's.  That's lasted me like 4 years so far, definitely worth looking into!

You know what, fair enough. The silicone fidget popper is a good idea so i can't blame GW for getting in on the action.

 

Lets hope it's not stupid money.
