Thanks man. I managed to pick up a copy on eBay more or less at cost - just had to pay the postage extra.

FP are showing covers up to #35. Confirms what we know already.

Dark apostle should be available today - I'll be taking my usual lunch time walk to FP to check if it is on the shelves

Really not sure if I want the chaos stuff - 2nd edition chaos is where I started but I havent actively touched it in a very long time.

(edit: terminators dont count! I always want terminators will get at least one set of these as a pet project)

Be careful out there kids.

Hachette not managing my expectations very well.  Hope you are all having a better experience.

This week I should have received issues 15-18 along with the premium kits.... so pretty high level of anticipation.

What turned up....  23-26 and a ring binder! Good feeling gone.

Apparently not really their problem, it's back issue "issue" !?! they'll sort it when they sort it. No date given for when back in stock. (and no apology!)

Worst of all.... I now have a bunch of space pixies to prime that I didnt expect..

On the bright side (of life) I might paint them up in Spanish inquisition colours.  Who would expect that!?   I'm guessing only old hammers.

Yeah, this is how they've handled things for a long time unfortunately. If you dive back in history to the similar thread about the original Conquest magazine you'll find me lamenting similar issues. One of my deliveries from around the 20s didn't arrive until I had started receiving issues in the 70s.

I had similar problems with them when I tried Conquest.  They held back some of the early issues so I could never follow the paint guide.  I know there is help online but I have no experience.  I had to cancel out of frustration as by the time I got to issue 59 I was still missing two of the really early issues, 4 and 5 or something, I can't remember.

I've started with conquest and it's been frustrating again.  I have all the issues so at least I can try to learn this time.  But I've had to cancel and resubscribe 5 times now.  Due to the latest cancellation I did not get the Varro issue, I'm hoping it will come in the future.  I'm ok waiting for it and I know it's an extra price but I would like it

I wonder would anyone have issue 32 and wouldn't mind sharing scans of the paint guide?  I already have the paints and am hoping to follow the guide.

It's out in the wild so hoping someone here might have it.

Would anyone be aware if there are other character packs planned such as Varro and if so is it known which characters?

Would only be direct subscribers who have it at the moment, it's not out as a single issue until next week. If nobody has posted the paint guide by then, I'll upload it next week.

There's no solid info on this (Hachette don't usually preview these special issues to FauxHammer etc) but they've done 3-4 specials in every previous partwork (it's not always been models, mind) so wouldn't be surprised it they continue here.

The specials in the last partwork (AoS Stormbringer) was 4 character models from factions that weren't actually featured in the main collection, so there isn't even really a precedent to follow, could be absolutely anything.

I somehow managed to buy 32 by accident from forbidden planet - I don't know what I was intending to buy, I have it here, I'll just need to figure out a scanning solution

Oh wow, thanks very much.  Even photos on a mobile would do.  I'm just looking to continue with the painting journey for my existing miniatures.  Wouldn't need to be high quality or anything, Imgur or a site like that lets you upload or if you could PM them to me if you get a chance.  Thanks in advance though!

I didn't think 32 was out until this week - are my dates off?

Edit - Looks like yes, although slightly muddied by the fact that Newstand and BuyMagsDirect seem to be a week behind FP and Hachette. Will update the OP accordingly.

Hi folks, in the spirit of Black Knight's old Conquest and Imperium threads, thought I'd set up one for the current Combat Patrol collection for ease of referencing, as the information in the News & Rumours thread is spread over a lot of pages. I can't promise it'll be up to the standard of previous efforts, but it will hopefully be of some use to you.

I'm just going to throw down the contents that we know so far, and will update the thread as we go to add stuff like the value calculations and whatnot. Please feel free to comment any requested additions to this post and I'll do my best to include them.

Below is the list of all issues of Combat Patrol, including their UK release date and the contents of the magazine, along with the savings each issue offers.

++DISCLAIMER++ Any saving shown is based on the cost of the magazine (which, aside from issues 01 and 02, is £9.99) and the RRP of like-for-like products available on the Warhammer webstore. If it's not possible to buy the exact variant of the model directly from the webstore, this is noted in the savings calculation. Where kits are spread over multiple issues, I'll give a single saving calculation for the entire kit based on you buying every issue required to assemble the full kit. It is very plausible that better savings are available by buying kits outright from third-party retailers that offer discounts, especially the Space Marine and Tyranid models which are available in bundle sets.

  • Newsstand - (Can set up subscriptions for limited run of issues, or buy single back-issues where available)

FUTURE BATCHES

The rumoured contents of these issues come from the Spanish webstore GoblinTrader.es - while I personally think the order here is surprising (and the kit splits are a bit odd in places), the contents of the first 40K partwork (Conquest) was also leaked by a Spanish site and was broadly correct, so this may well end up being mostly true as well. If nothing else, it lines up more or less with the release of the subscriber premium kits, which have confirmed contents and release dates already.

Edit - Fauxhammer revealed the contents for issues 21-40 which essentially confirm that the issue order from GoblinTrader.es was accurate.
