Yeah, this is the issue with these for those not in England. By the time it starts/finishes in other areas we have moved onto another edition. Happened with Imperium last time.

 

I'm also sure that the lore parts arrive a little out of order. I'll double check my current set. Worst case I just rescan the batch every other month and update the pdf. 

 

Won't have time for a few weeks, but once I get this done with the lore section for a test I'll PM you the link. Should look to do this for the Imperium set too so I can dump the binders.

What number are you on?  I wouldn't mind helping with scanning the lore.  I'm looking for a couple of paint guides is all.  I have up to issue 46

The US just got up to Issue 30, we're 3 months behind the initial release. 

 

Scanning isn't really an issue, my job is literally scanning documents. Just that I have to 1) remember to bring the packet to work and 2) have a slow day, which is coming up. Things slow down around here during the holiday season. So will be good on my end. If you want to make your own version (and you would be ahead of me) your welcome to do some.

managed to snag my Boomdakka Snazzwagon just in time, and thats me done with the CP mags

 

went to make my Deff Dread and same as the Hellbrute it only gives you a certain way to build it even though there are multiple parts

That's because units have predetermined loadouts in the Combat Patrol game to keep the rules as straightforward as possible, so naturally the magazine only gives the build instructions for that specific loadout.

Curious how you got a hold of the snazzwagon? I am hoping for one or two for my speed freeks but missed the Forbidden planet preorder.. any other good sources you know of?

You can start a one-issue subscription from Newstand beginning at issue 59 (Boomdakka Snazzwagon) - the street date for this issue isn't until week after next mind, and Newstand are about a week behind so you can expect it around 23rd October

I'm going to chance a snazzwagon in store. I have one already in my collection and another will just be a conversion project.

Snikrot is tempting if they do the same as with Tigi and sell if on the hachette site directly.

Also does anyone across the pond know if they sent out another binder? Imperium had 4 and my one CP binder is overloaded at current.

 

If you check the initial confirmation email, it does have the binder schedule (at least both Conquest and Imperium did).

Actually I found out how they are doing it in the US version. Just forgot to post it. 

 

So anyway you can purchase additional binders at $3 per binder, which after the S&H is $5.50 per binder. Honestly If I'm going to scan the bloody things I don't need them. 

 

Which I should get on, been sick most this week and it's been frakiking with my head. Also stupidity ate most of my swarm so....

Personally the same, but I donated the mags from the Imperium set to my FLGS so new hobbyist had something to read and get more of the setting. The rules section I could chuck due to the edition change mid collection.  Was thinking the same for this one and the missions if 11th ends up being a 10.5 style update.

I was literally just coming here to post this too. Pretty random but should help some people out. Hopefully they won’t all go to scalpers. 
 

Also for everyone in case you don’t know - there is a site called WarBay that has all issues for preorder and many others in stock across the Hachette range. They’re a good bunch of people running it there as far as I can tell. Good if you can’t find the ones you want on Hachette or Forbidden Planet.

Hey guys, I'm just wondering if any of you on issues ahead of me, if you have gotten more brushes or tools?  My last issue was 50 and the last tool I got was the texture spreader in issue 44.

 

As a person with a casual interest in Warhammer I find the magazine great.  I really just want to learn to paint the model, but all the lore bits in the magazine are great.  I've seen people online valuing each issue solely based on the models.  Overall I think it's great vaule, considering the models seem to be overpriced to me.  Any paint issues that are cheaper to buy the paints outright, the cost is offset by everything else; value of the entire series, rules for those who play the game, a good paint guide for beginners like me, all the lore, extras like rulers, play mats, tokens, terrain markers etc.

 

I know someone joked up above about a Horus Heresy series.  Would that ever be likely?  It seems like the Horus Heresy miniatures have much more resin kits which I thought were more expensive, but on looking at the website I'm not so sure.  I'm not sure I understand the pricing at all by GW 

The command squad in plastic for HH is 42 euro for 5 miniatures

This really cool squad of 5 miniatures from HH is 39.50 euro in resin.  Although they are missing weapons.

3 plastic miniatures of 40k space marines, 50 euro 

5 plastic miniatures ok 40k SM's, 55 euro 

10 plastic miniatures of 40k SM's, 135 euro
