Would have been better if they gave you the screamer killer in my view, but heyho

Problem is I think it shares a sprue with the Neurotryant, if I remember right. It's been a while.

I think the biovore might have been better myself

Yeah just something a bit meatier than the Parasite would have been good. Like a lictor maybe; similar in value to the chaplain too.

I sent News Stand a message about the disappearance of Combat Patrol and they replyed:

Good afternoon,

We do still sell this however we have had to take the listing off our website for now due to the popularity of the current issues. Any purchases already made will be fulfilled however we have had to stop further purchases.

Good to know we'll be getting our orders we placed. It sounds like it will be coming back in the future, I wonder if they where so overwhelmed by orders they had to remove CP from the website just to cope.

Have recieved an email this morning saying the final issue of my subscription (Only 1 issue, which was Bike Chappy) has been dispatched today, to arrive tomorrow.

Yep same for me. Dealing with them has been effective so far, hopefully I can continue to use them for the specific issues I want.

what issue was meant to come out yesterday? my wh smith have got some Farsser ones in, but FP sent me that one last week, and they tended to dispatch late rather than early.

This week's issue is 22 (Averland Sunset & Catachan Flesh)

Has anyone else been using Warbay? I had issue 21 on order but there is no sign of it. Issue is still in FP so if I am wasting my time with warbay, I would rather know sooner than later.

I have used Warbay, and from experience my order was dispatched a couple of weeks after the issue was in the shops. I think (and this is just personal opinion) because they are not a business like Forbidden Planet or WH Smith is, they can't get them in issue by issue, so they may get them from the subscription from Hachette (or as a delayed released). This means they'll get them in groups of 4 issues, and dispatch them at that point.

Can't get my head around why they'd do that. Subscriptions from Hachette would be at full price, and they're selling the individual issues on at face value? What's the point? Especially when they'd end up stuck with the less desirable ones.

Yes that does sound rather odd:confused:

Yeah, I'm not sure how it's working for them either, so either they are getting a discount on their subs, or they are getting their magazines later than others... Or it could simply be that the one's I've had were just later than normal.

Looking into their about page: https://www.warbay.shop/about-us/

What is in this for us? We are apparently doing this for free? Firstly to see this come to pass would be reward enough. We think this website would be amazing for the community, but we will make money from offering our own services in areas where it is needed. For example if we need “Rat men T-shirts” then we can either create them ourselves or commission artists to do it for us and then sell them ourselves. Our parent company has products made in China and shipped around the world, so we could easily create more of our own products to be sold on the site to fill niche gaps, to add to the existing products we have already added. The point is, we don’t want to take from other gamers, we want to add to the community.

Is it safe? The site is being run through an existing company that has been running for 13 years now (Lucky for some yes, yes). The business is stable, registered in multiple countries and ships products around the world. But aside from that, seller funds are kept in a separate account that is not used for operations, so all seller funds are secure.

Seems that they are doing this for minimum profit (how/why etc is their business I suppose). Good chance it's a side gig from somebody in a business (with their permission) looking to do the good thing for folks in the hobby...

Again, that's just my thinking, and the ins and outs of it are just assumptions

Random question for anyone who uses Newsstand. Is it possible to subscribe multiple times? There's a couple of cases coming up where I want to get a range of issues, but I also want to get that range of issues multiple times. I'd rather not have to subscribe once and then hope to pick up separate issues individually so would like to have multiple subscriptions at the same time for the same issues.

Has anyone tried doing that before?

Edit: Turns out after looking at the cart on Newsstand properly, the answer is yes, you can! That makes things easy.

I think you can as I 'subscribed' for one issue and now they are inviting me to subscribe again in emails. I have yet to do it as I'm waiting for specific ones to come available in their list.

However, I think you might be I be able to only have one subscription open at one time. For example, subscribe for issues 48 and 49, wait for 49 to be sent before re-subscribing for 51 and 52 in order to avoid receiving number 50.
