INKS
I've been googling but it has failed me. Looking for the most variety I can, I started to look for all the Kroot models that are out there. Wondering if some of you who have been collecting Tau or Kroot for a long time could help identify models. 1: Current Kroot range - Anything I can see on the webstore. 2: I think there is 1 kroot model from Blackstone fortress? what is this model? 3: Kill Team Kroot 4: How do the new Carnivores and the Old Carnivores match up? Do the old ones look out of place compared to the new ones. I have no worked with the new ones but if I remember correctly the old ones were a little bit of a pain in the butt to assemble. 5: Any special models out there? From random one off games they might have made? One off models? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384161-kroot-models/ Share on other sites
INKS
The Hunter Strikes is an example of what I am talking about it was a 2024 commemorative model Dahyak Grekh - Kroot Tracker -- this is the blackstone fortress guy. --He just has a rifle. Gamesday 2001 - Kroot Shaper Limited Edition -- metal. EDIT: There might be others but this is all I could find so far. The gamesday model is going for way too much money. lol Edited October 4, 2024 by INKS Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384161-kroot-models/#findComment-6068638 Share on other sites
Tawnis
Yeah, Dahyak Grekh used to be a named character with his own rules, but not anymore. Now he's just used as a Trail Shaper. The old 2001 metal one is Anghkor Prok. Not sure if he ever had rules, I didn't play Kroot back then, but now he's just another Trail Shaper. I run both the old an new Carnivoes side by side and so long as you've got the base sizes matched, they fit just fine. A lot of them can even interchange pieces if you finagle the arm joints a little. Kroot are pretty easy to convert compared to most armies. Beyond that, if you are looking 3rd Party, Wargame Exclusive makes some legally distinct not Kroot models. I run their "Wild Hunter" as my War Shaper with Dart Bow Root Carved because she's got this cool looking Tech bow that really stands out.
