Did we get any info about the Knight and Titan forces? Specifically are they getting a rules tweak, or merely new Formations/Detachments ??

If they don’t get a rules / points tweak, I can’t see why anyone would take them.

Yep, despite combined arms being some gamer's cup of tea, it would be really nice if this book addresses the elephant which isn't worth bringing into the room.

It would be awesome to see Legio and Houses at work again, without making AT redundant of course... Although, if they made LI a [much] better game, AT could become a thing of the past.

Prices for the week, it seems the Knight/Titan Battlegroups aren't available from FLGS.

The terrain bundle is a 35% discount and the Mechanicum Battlegroup is 20€ cheaper than the SA/SM ones were.

That puts the Mech Battle group at the UK £95 price point doesn't it?

That should be the case, providing GW keeps its "exchange rate" stable. The Manufactorum Imperialis Sector should be £110, like the Astartes and Solar Auxilia battle groups.

Do we see the Mechanicum battle group being a semi-permanent part of the range like the Astartes and SA ones, or a short run and done?

Just wondering how hard to FOMO or not......

The Marine and SA ones are still marked as While Stocks Last, I just don't think they proved overly popular (probably because a lot of people had already bought what's in them not long ago).

I think these will go a lot faster due to none having any official Mechanicum stuff yet.

Good point. Looks I'm grabbing 1, maybe 2 on Saturday then!

The savings in the Marine one was not great, and most people had lots of infantry.

Don't hold your breath folks

I cannot stress enough how awesome the Mechanicum is. One day we will hopefully get a true Skitarii expansion and can finally do a full bodied army of the Omnissiah.

This is fair, I would imagine they want to get way more of the current armies in plastic before bringing in some Dark Mech.

It's all so tiresome really

I really like how skittery the dark march looks next to titans, like a bunch of spiders that'll crawl all over them.

Something i feel like LI is missing a lot of is scale difference. You could get it in AT when you had a good spread from armigers to the bigger titans and some good scatter terrain. LIs missing that a lot of the time; most things are infantry sized or tank sized, with knights and titans being rarities (since they feel awful to use). Both the normal and dark mechanicum will help add that size variety back in and push that RTS feel.

The thing I love about the Dark Mechanicum is that you can achieve this feeling of cyclopian terror without resorting to the mutation or body horror tropes usually associated with Chaos. There is something unnerving about the multitude of skittering legs, tubing hanging all about and the alien feel to the whole thing that is extremely unsettling. It’s something I loved exploring with my Chaos Knights some years back and this is giving me the itch to delve back into that world, if only for modeling and hobby.

Tbh, they also said they would be focussing on SA en SM for the foreseeable future like, 3? weeks ago. I give it 50-50 that large scale versions are out next month.

These are exactly what the Dino boys should’ve been
