Tbh, they also said they would be focussing on SA en SM for the foreseeable future like, 3? weeks ago. I give it 50-50 that large scale versions are out next month.

I'm skeptical of these getting the 28mm treatment anytime soon.

So far the only product that has made it across is the hermes.

30k's releases are far too slow paced for them to focused on anything apart from core products

Ugh… if I see any of that garbage translate into this game I’m just going to ignore it.

Will you be posting a review of the book soon? I’m curious to hear if they have any fluff, color scheme or even mention of my Forge World.

I'm hoping Zhao-Akhard gets at least a mention.

Pre-orders are up in New-Zealand.

The Knight Households – Knight House Battle Group's price is the same as the Legions Imperialis: Mechanicum Battle Group's price, while the Titan Legions – Titan Battle Group's price is the same as the Legions Imperialis: Manufactorum Imperialis Sector's price.

The first 3 are "available while stocks last" and only a single exemplar of each can be put in the cart.

Edit: and the knights and titans bundles are indeed direct only.

I can’t say, Frater. But I’ll check in when I can.

The card pack says there are 4x formations each for Mech and Dark Mech and 5x Dark Mech detachments so no more units for now.

But Mechanicum has 19x detachment cards. The battlegroup only has 14x different units, 15x if the Thanatar gets split into two different weapon options.
With the Karacnos and Krios thats 17x, 18x if the Krios also gets split into two with weapon options.
So either all three krios weapons are in the kit or there is one more unit left that we don't know about yet

Sadly, I think that ToC answers my previous question and there isn’t going to be much if any hobby section or fluff on Forge Worlds that aren’t present during the Mars Schism.

Anyone know when the preorders go live on the east coast us time?  I never have bought directly from GW before but the knights box seems like a great deal.  I don’t really have any knights and I sure would like some.

Does anyone know when the Stalkers will be on pre-order?

I'd love to add some of these to my AT seeing as they have the rules in the box.

Cheers

We only know its going to be sometime until the end of the year.

Very likely not in the next 2-3 weeks, I would expect mid-November

Our review of the Rise of the Dark Mechanicum book is now live: https://www.goonhammer.com/legions-imperialis-rise-of-the-dark-mechanicum-the-goonhammer-review/

And we have a review of the mechanicum models here: https://www.goonhammer.com/legion-imperials-rise-dark-mechanicum-model-review/

The cover image for the model review shows some stalkers, which is incorrect. I’m getting that changed.

In terms of the fluff, which people asked about earlier, this is very focused on the conflict on Mars, just as the other campaign books looked at BG and Tallarn. So it’s not a comprehensive book on the Mechanicum throughout the heresy, just the ones involved in that conflict.

For those shopping at Wayland, the battle group box lasted about 5 minutes before going "last few" and "pre-order allocation sold" at the next refresh. It was limited to 1 per customer as are the cards.

It seems to be available on elementgames with 20% discount, same at Darksphere, still not sold out at GW UK / BE / FR / DE. I haven't checked other sites.

Those Knight and Titan rules (or more the lack or rules) all feel very weird. Both at least get Formations but Titan formations don't really do anything except slightly inconveniencing you in which combinations you can take. Two of the Knight ones at least have special rules but then the Bonded Household Lance just has no reason to exist? They all feel very tacked on as in "they want to play Titan/Knight only armies so we'll give it to them but with the bare minimum of work"

Yeah these are flying off the shelves. My locals are all pretty much sold out already.

I apologise if I've missed this in the review somewhere, but can Normal Mechanicum be Traitor Aligned or are you forced to used Dark Mechanicum to be Traitor aligned?

Just read the review (great as always)

Am i understanding correctly when you say Dark Mechanicum cannot access ANY Automata? So none of the below?

Vultarax Stratos-Automata
Arlatax Battle-Automata
Domitar Battle-Automata
Vorax Battle-Automata
Castellax Battle-Automata
Thanatar Siege-Automata

Thanks

These are what Dark Mech can take which is everything except the things on your list and the Krios Venator (might be a mistake)

Interesting rules for Mechanicum… it seems they’re very balanced internally, but I’m not sure how they’ll fair against the two more established factions, particularly with no air support.

I don’t even know what to say about Titans and Knights… I’m glad to see they put at least a little thought into the Knights, but they’re still probably so overpriced that they’ll just get swarmed and murdered within a turn or two. The Titan “formations” are just lazy and the fact that they couldn’t be bothered to give us any kind of upside to taking the Maniples or give the Titans themselves (or Knights) updated rules and lower points shows just how little thought or care was put into this portion.

The clear winner here seems to be Dark Mechanicum. Sure, they lose access to some detachments but what they get in return is arguably better than what they lose. I’m still not sold on their chances against Astartes or Solar Auxilia, but they seem like they’ll be fun to play with and against.

Speaking of Dark Mechanicum, it seems like anything related to their debut in Adeptus Titanicus is absent from this book. I have to wonder how they’re planning to tackle this or, more expectedly and disappointingly, if they will at all. Terminals alone do not an army make and I fear we’ll be stuck with a Warhammer Community article or nothing at all.
