There's actually a section in the fluff about this. Thanatars are able to extend a row of small wheels from each of their feet and are then towed behind the Triaros by a cable. It's the most fun they ever get to have.

 

Note: none of the above is true, but it's more reasonable than imagining them getting inside a Triaros.
