The chainsword is a pretty iconic design, and it leaves many avant-garde engineers in the 41st Millennium looking for ways to spice up their inventory. This limb clearly takes influence from the Vashthaus school of postmodern design and genetor entries into the art world from the late 740.M41s, by marrying the organic with the artificial as a commentary on the dualistic nature of life in the 41st Millennium.

What do you mean it might not even be a chainsword? It’s art, darling, it can be anything.

This looks demonic to me, and edging to maybe the Vashtorr faction that we've had teased but admittedly, it could go either way here. Or maybe, something Chaos Knight related?

Too small for chaos knight imho.

I think this is a "human" sized daemonic chainsword. Its possible the vashtorian rumors might have related to dark mech, but who knows.

Imho its likely this RE could be for the Khorne kill team. ( though there is always a change its for something further away.)

Attached the speculation file for all current 40k rumor engines, its not alot actually.

I tried to align some to the next 4 releases we know are coming, while not every kit is featured in rumor engines, bigger waves tend to have some representation for a while before it.

Nothing directly eldar springs out though. Though I really could see the web like "effect" be warpspiders related.

Some good ideas there, didn't even think about those ones connecting to the Warp Spiders, especially the Web looking one, though that could also be for their phoenix lord, but we'll see soon enough.

Looks a bit too crude to be EC, if you ask me :ermm:

Too crude for pre-Heresy EC - perfection for post-Heresy EC.

Obviously this is the first preview of the Slaaneshi Daemon Engine Vorax Battle-automata I have demanded GW make me. :whistling:

it is definetly chaos, you can see the "corroded" pipe section on the right. All the chaos units seem to have that kinda rubber piping tears nowdays.

Maybe word bearer killteam?

Would be a pretty interesting move if every season we get a new Kill Team that's just Chaos Space Marine + Non-big-four-legion upgrade frame. Last time it was Night Lords, this time Word Bearers, next Iron Warriors and so on and so forth. CSM never getting a bespoke team.

CSM got Legionaries in Nachmund with a bunch of new specialists? With over 1.5 million different team combinations.

I miss having cultists and Astartes in the same team (and would love to see a return of a Cultists of the Abyss style team for Black Legion), but saying CSM didn't get a bespoke team seems to be overstating things a little. I suspect even the Warpcoven players might be jealous of that level of customisation.
