Psycheriest Psycher of Call to Arms 2024

The B&C is just wrapping up the 2024 Call to Arms painting event - official announcements and polls on that should be coming along soon.  Spoilers - I'm really proud of how my fellow members in the Chaos Stronghold did.

 

This isn't that.

 

Rather, as part of the event, as I did last year to determine the Lordiest Lord, this is an officially unofficial poll of all the chaos psycher models to choose the Psycheriest Pscycher! And with nothing on the line but bragging rights (though, last year's winner ultimately got their own warband), I thought I would put it up to the general membership using the Heretic Astartes subforum (aka you guys) to decide what your favorite model may be.  My announcement/rules post can be found here.  Links to here are being posted in the other chaos forums - I've hosted it here as I felt this was the largest concentration of chaos pscyher aficionados. 

 

Participants are organized by name alphabetically.  Contestants, please message me if you have better pictures you want me to share. Poll closes midnight October 22 - that gives everyone 2 weeks to get their vote in.

 

So put in your vote, and may the psycheriest psycher win!

I know its not very Chaosy to not vote for myself (not that I tend to do that anyway...) but I had to vote for @Antarius Herald.  That model is all sorts of creepy and unerving, just like any true follower of Tzeentch should be

I, likewise, did not vote for my own entry - not chaosy, as you noted, but more in keeping with the spirit of the event, which is recognizing the excellent work of ones piers.

 

One correction, though, the Herald of Tzeentch is not by Antarius (though it is submitted by him) but by his partner in crime Queen of the Blackened Moon - who, I think we can all agree, is also an excellent painter.

My apologies to the Queen.  An amazing model and paint job.  Though in saying that they all are.  Was difficult choice.  Every year I am astounded by the work of people of thsi site.  I mean I have been painting etc for twenty five odd years and yet what I can come up with is nothing compared to some of the amazing work I see everyday on here.

 

And the community on here is just as amazing.  I doubt many on here would vote for their own models.  Everyone is always so encouraging of each other.  Its one of the reasons I've been in this hobby as long as I have.

Awesome work all, my favourites were the sorc on disc, tz herald, plaguecaster and typhus - great work on the lightning and smoke!

Congratulations to Queen of the Blackened Moon and her Herald of Tzeentch for being the Pscyheriest Psycher of Call to Arms 2024! Its a beautiful model and the (non)prize is well earned!  She can now enjoy the esteem of her piers at Bolter & Chainsword, bragging rights and her Tzeentchian Herald should now be granted warlordship over its own warband (hint, hint @Antarius ).

 

It was a real back and forth there for a while between it and Brother Argent's excellent plaguecaster but ultimately the tzeentchian demon prevailed.  Which, as noted above by another member, is pretty appropriate for psycheriest psycher.

 

Thank you to everyone who participated and their many excellent entries.  One problem with polls like this where one can only choose one's very favourite is that many very worthy models don't end up getting the recognition they deserve.  To pick just one model as an example, @Bob Fossil's Herald of Nurgle is excellent and, in my opinion, better than my own but, for whatever reason, didn't get any votes as anyone's absolute favourite.  That doesn't mean its less deserving and all participants, regardless of the number of votes received, should be proud of the quality of their entries.  So thank you all again for participating in the Chaos forum and in this side-event.

Thanks so much everybody. She's very happy with her victory - and maybe now she'll start to believe me when I tell her she's a good painter and I'm not just saying so to encourage her

Have her sign up here to share her model photos and we can cheerlead her as well!  You can give her a Tzeentchian warband for her herald to warlord to get her started.
