Gotta say, if you had mentioned Dark Mechanicum to me before I saw the reveals, I'd have said i'm not that interested, i have enough with Space Marines, Knights and Titans, but having seen them, I am massively impressed! They look awesome and like many others have said, very War of the Worlds esque!

 

Also very nice to see they come with AT command terminals.

I think a lot of his stuff is still decidedly unique. The stalk-tanks iirc were produced in Chaos-held forges throughout the Sanguinary Worlds, I don't think they were one of his inventions. It makes sense that they'd have evolved from earlier New Mechanicum weapons (there was always speculation about them having a shared lineage with the Defiler, but maybe they evolved from these guys instead)

Yeah, I like the spidery vibe but it would be nice to see a couple of units with a different shape. Maybe something that nods towards forbidden alien tech. I always think the 40K Talos when I think Dark Mech.
