Red Gobbo Christmas model silhouette

Seen over on Reddit. Seems there's a flyer going around teasing this years Christmas model. It solves at least  one of the outstanding rumour engines.

Christmas Red Gobbo has been done to death already imo.

Let the only independent Grot character in 40k go back to being a proper usable 4pk character, there's plenty of other stuff to use instead.

Sticking to the Christmas theme… what angel do you expect to see on Christmas Day? It’s been Dark Angels the last two years. My hope is it’s more heretical, a red angel perhaps!

Christmas elves instead of christmas angels.

 

Or santa takes logan grimnars sled back ;) as per the new rumors.. though thats  a too early tease for a Summer release. ( i am someone who actually does like the sled, but presenting the change on christmas would be perfection.)

Agreed/hoping this isnt another red gobbo - I get the theme but they have done it 3 times now and it's wearing thin. 

+1 for an actual playable red gobbo / grot character - ideally a full kill team with him as the leader.

Based on the design on the bottom right of the page I like the Snowman, depending on price may be tempted for him for other models. I almost got last year's one as I liked the roof dio but like many felt the Red Gobbo needed a rest.

Fun, but think the joke’s a bit stale now. I’d prefer the Red Gobbo to go back to his schlock-Soviet revolutionary roots rather than being a recurrent Christmas thing.

 

A mate of mine thought Rebel Grots would be a great Kill Team, and I can’t disagree.

 

Having something different for Christmas would be much more fun – (Wood) Elf on the Shelf, perhaps, or a Stormcast and Space Marine sharing a drink; or Kharadron ChirurgiBauble… loads of space for something fun and fresh.

Quite like it, definitely prefer it to last years model and the hidden bomb with removable snowman is a nice touch

I do like the miniature, it's a nice diorama, but Christmas Red Gobbo yet again is a bit boring by this point. I don't really like that he's seemingly become the default commemorative holiday character, and that they're now outright christmas themed specifically.

Thinking back to the ones over the past few years, it's Tech Priest Grombrinda and Jakkob Bugmansonn that are the sort I enjoyed the most. Unique and different versions of iconic characters, without any obvious time of year theming.

Pure guesswork on my part but it mighy be that he sells more or more consistently; people buying the red gobbo model every year to collect them all etx

Interesting, my girlfriend really wants this one so we will pick it up, but I do find it odd that the Christmas mini that was just debuted is already up for order, when the other holiday one that is due out in November is nowhere to be seen
