Just like "we had to keep him recognizable as a space marine/he's still a space marine"; he was never a space marine, and his armour was very divergent from the power armour aesthetic. Or "keep his back pack intact"; he didn't have one, see the previous error. Or "I like how simple his armour is, not overly covered in filigree in detail"; a comment placed directly under fulgrim and his heavily detailed, filigreed armour. Or "the winged symbol of the emperor remains untouched by the warp"; but it was touched on the transfigured version, and also this is not the same as on the original fulgrim. Like, the sculptor being dumb doesn't retcon anything. But at least him being massively wrong on some of the lore didn't really affect his work; it's still a cool model, and the worst thing thing that happened is having a bit less variety than Magnus. Like all GW limited editions it's egregiously overpriced (I'm not sure about the rest of the world, but in Australia it costs more than the Champions of Slaanesh box did), but it is very pretty. I picked it up just because this is the biggest/most important release the EC will ever get, so feels appropriate to go all in just this once 01RTB01 and Dr_Ruminahui 1 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384251-ec-rumours/page/99/#findComment-6104747 Share on other sites

Marshal Loss
Please forgive the double post, but the floodgates are open! LSM
Looking at the Flawless Blades sprues, there are 4 of the 'Broadsword+open hand' and 4 of the 'dual swords' (per 3 models). (I have to assume that the sculptor intended for those to be two different weapon options.) 3 heads, 3 shoulder pads (1 EC, 1 boring, 1 fancy), and 2 optional belt grenades (per 1 model). // 3 hours ago, Marshal Loss said: I particularly love the (previously unseen) double-horned helmet for the Flawless Blades, courtesy of Goonhammer. The ninth (and final) helmet can also be seen curtesy of Vincent Knotley. (Very Tormentor-y.) 01RTB01
I must confess, that immediately remedies the face issue. That's utterly terrifying. Brilliant job. I've waited 30 years for the release and I don't see them doing a shiny set like this in future. I've sold a chunk of AoS stuff so it freed some hobby funds. Its a tad excessive but I shan't be getting any of the other chaos ltd Ed books as I've no interest in the other legions. On the flip side, picking up 2 of the army boxes means I saved a big chunk there compared to buying separately so that justifies it right?! No hate on anyone that bought it, especially since like you mentioned it's been coming for 30 years. If they dropped an Iron Warriors wave with a fancy book with hazard stripes I'd probably be thinking about that pretty hard Just zooming out though, the whole premise of the medal is that you buy all four pieces, which reaches a total of $1000USD before tax Dedication to a specific faction aside, I think that's pretty egregious Edited yesterday at 01:52 AM by darkhorse0607 Iron Father Ferrum 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384251-ec-rumours/page/99/#findComment-6104854 Share on other sites
