I'm kind of hoping that EC to have the rumoured Saturnine pattern, and WE to have Indomitus. Thus giving every god specific legion a different terminator style.

I wish there was a fifth visually distinct pattern (that wasn't something very exclusive like Custodes or Grey Knight Termies) so the Cult Legions and Undivided could each get different Termies. Sadly I don't think that's gonna be even possible to kitbash for at least many years to come, excluding coming up with homebrew designs, of course.

That’s what I want , if we get a super elite phoenix guard in 3/6

I think from all the rumours and stuff my wishlist is:

-Fulgrim

-Lucius

-Ec lord

-Maybe that special edition noise marines could become a character that could lead noise marines as like a “lord of choirs”

-Ec Legionaries

-Noise marines, now rumoured to be 6-12 so making their sonic weapons more elite and stronger

-the 3/6 blade unit to be terminator phoenix guard that are powered up

On Terminators:

While there's something to be said about each Cult Legion favouring a Mark of armour (and thus needing some more Marks of TDA) I don't really think it's necessary. Death Guard were (as conceptualised in the early 90s by Jes Goodwin, and then again in plastic in the late 2010s) heavily MkIII based, with MkII mixed in. Thousand Sons, entirely magically modified and maintained MkIV. So they have a very strong throughline to Cataphractii and Tartaros.

But World Eaters, while rooted in MkV, always leaned into scavenged MkVI and MkVII as well. (And the newest kit gave them those Cataphractii-esque shoulder pads.)

Emperor's Children MkVI, but with noted MkVII supplies. (And the Horus Heresy gave them a strong link to MkIV.)

So those two have always had less of a focus on one Mark, and always had more visual overlap with the basic CSM aesthetic. For World Eater Terminators I think I'd do a reverse Blightlord - Indomitus base (for the aggressive helmets), mixed with more Cataphractii-y shoulders (maybe the leather pteruges replaced by chains). Likewise, I'm good with Emperor's Children primarily being in Indomitus, but I favour an overarching "Sonic Cult" aesthetic for the entire Legion. In the (allegedly) unreleased Slaanesh Terminator there's some neat details (thigh straps) and I think the helmets are good for mounting speakers. (See the fan art below.)

Of note, Forgeworld did use to make both World Eater & Death Guard conversion sets for their Cult Troops & Cult Terminators

When it comes to the rumoured three-man "swordsman" unit, I'd love to see them in Terminator Armour, but regular Power Armour would be cool too... or Cult Possessed. My desire is just... as someone who likes the notion that the Emperor's Children fell hard I don't want anything that can be mistaken for a pre-Heresy unit. And as someone who prefers the lore up to ~2016 (wherein the sonic cults came to utterly dominate the Third) I don't want "just swordsmen".

Noise Marine blademasters (like Noise Champion Volupus and his Flickering Blades warband*) would be my preference. Heavily mutated sonic swordsmen, with massive combat drug dispensers and warp amps. Terminator Armour would (as Marshal Loss notes) be handy for mounting that sort of stuff, though. So I could definitely boogey with a three-man Phonics Terminator unit.

Not sure about "Terminator swordsmen" though. TDA is kind of bulky in a way that doesn't (visually) lend itself to swordplay.

*Google informs me that Codex: World Eaters has used the Flickering Blades as jobbers to biggup some warband called the Skull Takers of Hans Kho'ren, and Volupus' lot are now all officially dead.

See, that's a very well reasoned argument, but allow me to raise this counterpoint:

More marks of Terminator armour.

I can also see it being a case where GW didn't feel a need to give them their own type of cultist unit when the current cultist models look pretty slanneshi.

Might also be the case that they might be emmm cautious about overly Slaaneshi humans if you know what I mean

My only wish really is that we get new terminators full stop , ec and slaanesh as a whole should have their own style and Id like to try my best to steer clear of generic csm as much as possible cause that’s what it is “generic” eyes and chaos starts and skulls on spikes , chains and fur just doesn’t feel ec to me

That little treasure trail of images points more and more to an Emperor's Children reveal as a Christmas treat. Thanks for collecting them together, @Macidious.

No worries, I’m a die hard ec fan been waiting for 7 years so I’ve been connecting dots all year haha , I theorised the ecstatic epistle was gonna be a series and that it would be a timeline to Christmas Day a after the second one so I have been addicted to all of it lol.

Just hoping the wait is worth it , if they show the army box at Christmas then a little visual teaser of fulgrim and Lucius I will so pleased, or maybe they’ll be leaked before.

I wonder what the reveal will be this week? Hopefully weapons

I genuinely hope we get a visual variety for the sonic weapons. The current sonic blasters are generic and identical as are the Kakophoni from forge world.

I'd love to see bespoke weapons to fit the individuality of the noise marines. I live in hope...

Yeah my thought is that cause they reveal in 3s they’ll show

-Sonic blaster

-Blast master

-Doom siren (or maybe they’ll show a new type of sonic weapon, valrak did mention the lord having a sonic pistol) but maybe if noise marines are becoming more elite they might have a heavier option)

If these are for the "basic marines" then it might just be Bolters, though that would be frightfully boring.

Maybe they could throw in a Neurowhip and a 'Blaster. Or an Icon and a backpack.

I'm also wondering if the "sonic pistol" might be his source mistaking a modded Plasma Pistol, à la some of the old art:
