If there are different units of "normal" marines (10) and noise marines (3) im hopping that normal marines have that sonic weapons, and noise marines could be more "mutants"/"hardcore".

 

If not, it will be an army a little redundant with normal, noise and blades marines, without special coultists, gors...

I will make the Devil's Advocate argument that if these Sonic Weapons are for the EC Legionaires unit then the actual Noise Marine unit may still have Combi-Guitars or similar stuff.

Oh heavens, those are rather nice. I'm putting my Chaos stuff on hiatus (for now) but I'm VERY happy to see those. Really nice designs, the guns are exactly what I wanted from updated Noise Marine weapons. The sword is also great, though I wish it had the little poison vial on it that the old metal/resin upgrade sword had. Also whilst the vambraces are delightful, if/when I build some of these I'll be giving at least one of them some sculpting to homage the old soft-glove-over-armour of some of the older parts. Which will be painted as semi-transparent rubber because ick.

God I hope not, I prefer a bit more of the grimdark rather than a 90's teenager power metal fantasy. I know their thing is hitting bongs and doing sick riffs, but there really isn't any reason for it to be that literal.

I really don't think we're going to have Noise Marines and Slightly Larger Noise Marines, so I'm feeling pretty confident that we won't be subjected to combi-guitars.

My read on the "ammo canisters" is that the guns are organic and the canisters contain some kind of nutrient or stimulant. Like there's an actual set of fleshy vocal cords in each weapon.

These look awesome! My guess as to what the cannisters are is that they are vials of "fog juice" for integral fog machines that spew out hallucinogen-laced fog while the sonic weapon is active, kind of like a SUNNO))) concert :)

Maybe we'll get something along the lines of the Eightbound? Maybe a Slaaneshi melee unit called "Sixicutioners" with a mix of sonic blades, crab claws, and power fists? Who knows.

The way they've done the Slaanesh symbol on the Sonic blaster, with the prongs pushing in; if you turn your head sideways it looks like a little stick man coming to give you a hug.

Others have mentioned but next time should be for Christmas day. Looking at the pattern made by the teasers where they spaced them out every two weeks, there will be no more major articles until Wednesday 25.

Thoughts that occurred to me about the Sonic Blaster/Blastmaster: the straps are a little weird.

1. Where are they going? Like... normally when I think of a gun/guitar's strap, the back part is going behind your back, to come down across your forward shoulder to the front of the gun/guitar. But these are just going over the arm, and there seems to be no clear place to connect to at the front. Are these just strapping the arm to the gun? If so, how does the user crank the knob or work the tremolo?
2. If they are full cross-shoulder straps, then they have to connect to a sculpted strap on a chest/torso piece. (For example, the current The Noise Marine has such.) That would suggest these're for a specific Sonic Weapon unit (and not optional pieces that can go on the "basic marines"). But if so, those arms look a touch plain for a proper Noise Marine. Not only no tubes/feeds, but no studded leathers or spiked straps, etc. Small sample size, but those are the sorts of things that I associate with the aesthetic.
