This is acceptable.

I love infantry, so if they manage to do some really cool Legionnaires and Noise Marines, I'll already be happy. Legionnaires will allow for a lot of fun with grabbing some standard CSM to kitbash some cool stuff.

 

I'm mildly disappointed there's no jump pack unit, but perhaps it will come later in the future.

 

As for eightbound, I don't think I believe they were intended to be one unit, as the kit has more possessed bits for the Exalted ones, and less for the normal ones. So that gradation was planned for in the kit design.

I would actually be ok if noise marines come in units of 6 to 12 and the sword master 3 to 6 as I always loved making sure my units were the favored number back in 3rd.

Maybe you didn't see that teaser some years ago(mortarion scythe was painted, in colour and on a video) .

 

I get what you are saying and I agree with you but if they don't want to show us all the new model range(I don't think they will), at least I hope they give us a little about Fulgrim.

If they show a good chunk like the boxset off , it would be cool if they gave as a little something to stretch our imagination a bit with a little snipit of fulgrim or Lucius , but I just hope Christmas they show off a nice chunk

Here’s another thing to ponder ….. paints wise we got Ahriman and Thousand Sons blue, Death Guard green, nothing for World eaters ( but I use old red gore and red black (( the first plastic multipart world eaters colours)), now I know we’ve got Fulgrim pink but do you think we’ll get a proper base colour ( rather than the studios wild rider red mix)

I don’t think they’ve done new paints linked to faction releases like that for a little while now have they? I can’t remember what the last ones were.

Ah, doh! Forgot about those, all though I normally use old Vallejo Model colour Sunset red for a base for my pinks, I find those others rather thin

Also Phoenician Purple and Kakophoni Purple.

World-Eaters-wise there's also Angron Red Clear. Don't know if Berserker Bloodshade counts, on account of the lack of the distinctive spelling of Berzerkers, but it sure has the spirit.

Karandras Green and Creed Camo would certainly like it to be true. Sometimes they do release one thematic paint or two though, like when they released Canoptek Alloy and Tesseract Glow close to the Necron refresh.

Yeah I know they’ve done them in the past, it just feels like it’s been a while since they have. I mean the Necron ones were what, 4 years ago? Have there been any more recently? I guess Dominion had some for AoS which was 3 years. 
 

plus it seems like there’s already quite a few EC named colours - seems to be their go to for pinks and purples haha (rightly so!)

(I've let doubt into myself: could GW be progressing to a Space Wolves preview on Christmas, instead of Emperor's Children? The final detachment, into a preview of their new heroes... No... Slaaneshmas is coming...)

 

I noted before that the last time Lucius had any fiction written about him (In Wolves Clothing) he was purposefully antagonising the Space Wolves. I know that TS vs SW is sort of "a thing", and a lot of folks zero in on EC vs Eldar*, but could the end narrative of the edition be Russ vs Fulgrim?

 

*(And EC vs WE, and EC vs IH, and EC vs UM, and EC vs WS, and EC vs BL... gosh, we certainly seem to antagonise other people...)

There are different bits, but if the brief was to make one noticeably different from the other, I think they failed. Like... there are definitely heads and shoulder pads that are alike enough to group, but the chest plates? Basically the same, and those have to be designed with intent (as they're options A & B for a torso).

• Design ten WE Possessed heads with a good variety.
• Design six WE Possessed heads and four WE More-Possessed heads.

I could believe either. If the the design brief for the shoulder pads was either:

• Design six WE Possessed shoulder pads with a good variety.
• Design three WE Possessed shoulder pads and three WE More-Possessed shoulder pads.

I could believe either. If the the design brief for the feet was either:

• Design one with WE Possessed feet or optional unit champion WE Possessed feet.
• Design one with WE Possessed feet or with WE More-Possessed feet.

I could believe either. But if the design brief for the chest pieces was either:

• Design six WE Possessed chestplates with a good variety.
• Design three WE Possessed chestplates and three WE More-Possessed chestplates.

I don't see it when if comes to the latter. Those are just six interchangeable chest pieces. (One fancier for a unit champion.)

I feel Da Red Gobbo having a bunch of EC themed images plus Christmas day lining up with the EC render posts leads more towards it being EC.

 

Also, as I speculated in another thread, I don't think it'll be Fulgrim vs Russ.

Rather, I think it'll be Fulgrim vs Lion, same as how Guilliman was paired against both Magnus and Mortarion.

Didn't the Lion already kind of get paired with Angron? I'm sure there was a confrontation between them hyped up in the Arks of Omen campaign.

I did see rumours that it may become a 2v1 for fulgrim would be cool and also would justify a loss compared to plot armour emperors possession to save guilliman

Yep.

I mean that, like how Guilliman was paired off against both Magnus and Mortarion, I think Lion El is gonna be paired off against both Angron and Fulgrim.

 

So another 2v1 situation.

Problem with Fulgrim is that the end if edition fight could also very well be Abaddon vs Fulgrim as the former was not very happy that the latter was ignoring him and may seek to 'ensure' his co-operation going forward by beating him into submission. I think I'd prefer that to another loyalist vs traitor rumble where the result will either be loyalists win and fulgrim is sent back to the warp or escapes to continue his extreme hedonism or it's a draw and no one wins as the loyalists won't be getting killed anytime soon.

The new Valrak video mainly repeats his existing EC rumours. (Does continue to separate the "EC Lord" and "Cacophonist" as possibly two kits, whereas my gut expectation would be that they're the same thing.) 

 

Speculates that the new Fulgrim might cause debates (vis-à-vis comparison to the 30k model). Which for as perfect as the 30k model is, excites me. I'd love a more deranged rockin' Fulgrim.

It does give me a sense of relief , to know that if this Fulgrim isn’t to my taste there’s a stunning 30k one to be used and easily transferred but I know  that the 40K one will blow me away I’ve been waiting so long and I just want to field and play with such a model on the table
