I am looking at them right now, along with the Noise Marines, they look amazing

You dirty tease lol. Could you inbox me some pics?! Lol. Any description?

In fact, the one thing I'd love to know after waiting 30 years, are the sonic weapons different to each other or are they the same as each other? Thanks in advance!

Great model, the 'Eavy Metal paint job is amazing as ever  I like all the face sculpts - the difference between the 30k Transcended version and the new one to me shows how Fulgrim has fully embraced daemonhood and the gifts of his patron; he doesn't need to deny or hide it any more.

Well what a great model. GW have knocked it out that park. I feel both the 30k and 40k version have their own separate spaces.

This

Not only that but they're built for different budgets as well.

Same. The HH one is more restrained and statuesque. The 40k is more deranged, demonic and in a more aggressive pose.

The model is technically great and for sure more practical for games than the shelf queen of his 30k resin version, but I don't like that it only comes with ugly head options. He should be beatiful in an daemonic way, like his 30k mini (or AoS Sigvald).

We're told again and again about the disturbing but alluring beauty and temptations of Slaanesh daemons, only to get ugly daemonettes (RIP Diazmonettes) and now a 40k Fulgrim with generic ugly evil dude faces. Also, why a deamon prince needs a helmet?

It’s an unpopular opinion, but I do tend to agree. There’s something I’ve always found interesting about Fulgrim and how his body has become this distorted, twisted and horrific monster and yet his face remained perfect. It always made him feel more ghastly somehow. The head options on this one makes him look like Vigo the Carpathian from Ghostbusters II.

That being said, while it’s not on the level of the FW version, the rest of this one is pretty cool and detailed (and probably much cheaper). If I were to get this, I’d just swap the head with something else and keep the rest as-is.

Apologies for the resolution as I am on a phone. But is the image in the upper left corner of this screenshot a new illustration? I feel like I’ve seen it before but I cannot place it.IMG_2766.thumb.jpeg.59753b8fc4c23cd2c2e59f95d73fffc0.jpeg

I’m with many others in that I would have preferred to see some infantry models. (Special-)character ‘hammer and center piece models never interested me as much as smaller projects. Most of my fonder game memories are also from models doing unexpectedly; and the only thing a  400pts character ever does that is unexpected, is dying to something smaller!

His looks and details however, together with what we’ve seen elsewhere is a good omen for what we’ll receive in terms of models in my opinion! I honestly can’t wait, and it’s a very weird feeling to be seeing these pictures now since I first heard “new noise marine” rumours way back in ~2008.
Still haven’t painted a full uniform 2000pts as my Slaanesh marines have changed colour schemes and recipes for pink untold times… Hope this new range will be able to keep me on track.

The thing with the face being a bit weird and the arguments about being warped by chaos for a long time is that time....doesn't matter for daemons. Like, as soon as they're created they're omnipresent. Samus was made from lokens death, but torments him during the crusade.

There's a scene in Slaves to Darkness where lorgar is trying to find daemon fulgrim to get him to rally his legion to assault terra. Fulgrim talks about it as if it's in the past and he's too bored to act it out. The same book also shows us how very in control of his form he is, with him masquerading as a human dancer before turning serpentine when threatened.

The point is, fulgrim can look however he wants, whenever he wants, and it's a shame he decided to make his face look weird 4/4 times.

I’m happy for EC fans, great mini and excited to see what the release brings.

Maybe I am in the minority, I don’t think the face is ugly that they’ve included in the 40 K version of this model. I think he could be handsome if he just showed his face in a normal way, unfortunately, for whoever he is focusing on, he has lost it lol. We are seeing him in his true form.

Inbox'd.

Have to say I think I prefer the 30k sculpt over this one. I think Fulgrim Transfigured is a perfect representation of how I always imagined him whereas the plastic 40k one looks a little over designed or AoSy. Not saying that the 40k sculpt is bad, it's just not how I imagined Fulgrim.

The skin being peeled and pinned back on the snakes belly is painful to look at (in the best possible way), very Hellraiser 2022. I hope we get similar design elements on the Noise Marine sculpts.

@crimsondave Overall it just doesn’t do anything for me.

I was hoping for something a bit more different to the 30k version. For a Daemon Primarch it just feels a little vanilla I guess.

I think different colours on the armour would help - keep the gold trim but put a different colour on the plates. Obviously, that’s easily fixed. I am keen to to see what other painters do with him.

I am not keen on the ‘T’ shape of the wings, but given the issues I have carrying armies via public transport perhaps that’s a necessary evil.

However, the main disappointment is with the heads. Lion El’Jonson got a really good range of alt heads - bare, hooded, helemeted and hooded helm. Fulgrim just has the helmet and four very similar bare ones.

To be fair though, if he is in a beautiful alluring mood, and can change into any form.. nothing in this model represents that mood, few will be allured by a snake bottom and 4 arms .. in fact there are many models that can represent that mood ( up to something from lotr or ToW.. But in the least 30k original fulgrim.) And this model represents his "now im scary and going to rip you apart because we are on an actual battlefield mood"

In short, the argument is much more in defence of the model than it is against it, in my opinion. ( i didnt even know that fluff about him until now tbh, wasnt aware he was a shapeshifter )
