The traitor Primarchs are simply creatures of the warp now. They are tied to the whims of the immaterium. Their power in the physical realm waxes and wains and their goals are often impeded by the great games the Chaos Gods play against one another.

 

As for rules, Fulgrim was a great tactician who has even out-maneuvered Guilliman in the past. I would like to see him bring some interesting deployment and redeployment shenanigans.

Rules wise, I'm expecting some synergy with the greater Emperor's Children codex. Though as what they'll be I'll expect we'll have to wait till proper previews arrive or someone at the printers leaks again.

Could do it in a similar way to his 30k rules - when he's on low wounds (but not dead), player can choose to remove him as casualty but that means no VPs are scored as a result.

With this, i suspect they'll just handle it as they did for his brothers

What I’m kinda hoping is that maybe Lucius becomes a lone operative , and he has precision and challenges characters , and has the same ability when he can come back. 
 

I think he would be a killer way to revamp the new one, and then the new Lord and kakophoni lord can cover the legionaries , noise marines and blade masters to lead

I liked Lucius' old rules where he fought better when he was facing better opponents. I don't know how they would do it now though.

There isn't a single passing mention on today's "Next Week" article about any sort of new year teasers. I'd find it odd if they don't do it, but with LVO happening so soon anyway (and a new Ecstatic Epistle in between as well, maybe?) I also wouldn't find it too surprising.

Something as simple as if he fights a Character unit that has already inflicted casualties. Don't think the character NEEDS to be better.

Awhile back I tried making "2002 Lucius in 2024" for fun. I don't think I quite got it right on the first pass (and it definitely isn't balanced or anything), but what I did was:

 

 

IIRC, my thoughts on a second pass were:

• Increase the downsides of "Full Throttle", from just [Hazardous] to suffering one Mortal Wound whenever a To-Hit roll of 1 is rolled.
• Find some way to separate the Lash of Torment from the Ornate Sabre. (And maybe change the name to Laer Blade.)
• Reduce base Attacks and Weapon Skill, and have Martial Pride give a +1 to To-Hit rolls.
• Maybe flip Fueled by Pain to be more like the original (which was an extra attack for every successful save). But I like the take-a-wound-give-a-wound.
• Maybe up his Strength to 6. (Originally he had Daemonic Strength, making him physically stronger than Khârn... and a Strength of 6 would be, y'know... of course, originally he had a Weapon Skill of 5, the same as Bile, Typhus, and Ahriman, and less than Khârn or Abaddon. But that was before the whole "perfect swordsman" thing was added.)

Yeah , well I think this week they’ll be doing that “what’s to come in 2025” teaser video and we may see a silhouette of something ec in that one.

 

but 2 directions they could go for ecs future: 

 

1) Preciews, like you said LVO happening soon and I think another in march we could just see it drop all at once at one of them.

 

2) They continue with ecstatic epistles, every 2 weeks we see something else and closer to release its units, so 2 weeks from Christmas will be 8th January , maybe we will see another render or maybe now we’ve seen fulgrim we will see solid stuff, might even be rules or stat blocks for fulgrim  , maybe a single noise marine or legionary and then after that it becomes units and they show the boxset , I only say this cause there was no preview for blood angels they just got Monday reveals, but who knows , idk which one I’d prefer

All the chaos books being saved till last leaves a sour taste in my mouth. It reminds me when we got the really cool chaos legions book right before the edition change which made it unusable.

At this stage, I don't mind waiting until March/ April for kits but I'd like to see them lol.

We just had both the Krieg & Eldar waves revealed in a single preview, which combined are quite a bit larger than those you listed, so you never know. And I'm not convinced Corsairs are coming as part of the Eldar codex release as their preview felt reasonably final. I think they'll want to keep running with the EC hype. But we'll see soon enough

Well if we say that corsairs aren’t happening or they might be kill team slots now , then we have to hope imperial knights and chaos knights happen at the same time, I could see them showing it all at LVO , I’d love for it to happen

I don’t think it’s a joke cause there isn’t any teases like this in any other post, I think it just shows that around spring all the chaos stuff is gonna be consecutively released back to back , most likely cause of the demons merging to their codex
