Yeah I think we'll be in the pink and black, with Fulgrim being in his own custom blingy scheme (rose gold + gold) to represent the fact that he doesn't care about the Legion's heraldry anymore, he's all about himself. A nice change from the Transfigured sculpt which is painted in proud Third Legion purple.

yeah I love his new scheme, depending on how they make the main legion look I might take the pink and rose gold look to the rest of the army it looks nice

EC AND knights is definitely doable.

Specially because Knights is just one model, supposedly. One hefty model, yes, but still just one. Which will most likely be the same one Chaos Knights get, so if those two are coming back to back they can even cover the reveal of both codices in one preview "slot".

 

Then again, expectations tempered and all that, it might also just be Knights and that'll be all for the 40k part of the preview (side games aside). It's a long road to AdeptiCon, at least when we're all chomping at the bit, but they're also doing plenty of online previews whenever they want to these days. Might be that they'll just do an Emperor's Children preview one of these days. Doing it on Valentine's Day would be funny.

Yeah they must know now they’ve done these ecstatic epistles and revealed fulgrim they’ve opened Pandora’s box, there’s no closing it and we will riot if they hold onto the rest for ages

 

Would be cool if they revealed the box at LVO and then rest they could do weekly posts of Lucius, then the blade masters then rules then release

I am currently waiting to see some online recipes and tutorials on how to paint this new fulgrim cause I really want to get it as close to box art as possible so hopefully people can help me find how to do it, and once that’s down it can be easily replicated

The warhipster ones are pretty good. His fulgrim transfigured was outstanding.

Reminder that Angron was show in July 2022, the range in November 2022 with the world eaters releasing in Feb 2023.

 

Map that here, fulgrim Dec 2024, range reveal in April, release in July.

 

I get people are excited but people are setting themselves up for a lot of potential dissapointment by rehashing that the entire range will be shown every other week.

And a reminder in return that we don't know what the World Eaters schedule was ever intended to look like because it was clearly disrupted by leaks. World Eaters were first announced as absent from Codex: CSM in May 2022 and released in February 2023. Emperor's Children were first announced as absent from Codex: CSM in April 2024 and a release in the next few months would very closely mirror the overall World Eaters timeframe. That paints a very different picture to your post, doesn't it? Not quite so simple.

 

Look, put bluntly, GW has approached each of the cult releases very differently. Totally agree that people may be setting themselves up for disappointment (and I totally understand that it's probably frustrating reading everybody going in circles about timeframes) but everybody is just really excited for something they've waited a very long time for. It's just how it is, and we'll see soon enough whether these hopes are justified or not.

I think we’re all just trying to be positive and exited that’s all and with the information we have it seems likely that it’s sooner rather than later and we want to be hopeful for that

Do you think they’ll be doing a “what’s to come in 2025” post I just went back on the last few and they are on the 26th and 30th so usually before the new year, maybe it’ll come out today??

I get that, I've never seen this level of hopeful blind optimism though for a release. I am sorry, not wanting to be a Debbie downer, just trying to temper expectations.

I think it’s the fact ec fans have had it the most rough out of chaos for so long like dg and ts was first years ago , world eaters did have Khorne berserker kits that yes were old but still a kit to use in plastic, and got a new Khârn as well , but ec have had a Lucius that is 18 years old and an awful resin upgrade sprue and no full kit so we are just eager to get the kits we have earned by being patient, and from seeing fulgrim, I think it’s paid off he is a 10/10 model , 2025 model of the year before it’s begun

Yeah, I'll be surprised if he doesn't win model of the year like his brothers before him...wait, did Angron win in 2023? Or did something else take the title? Pretty sure Magnus and Morty got the wins for their years.

Magnus and Morty won model of the year , Angron didn’t I think the lion did but we did get that special edition noise marine that did win model of the year 

 

I think it was harder for Angron to win, more space marine players and they’d vote for a space marine character, like if a imperium primarch returns next year fulgrim probably won’t win 

 

And each year it gets harder cause they’ll release bigger characters at the same time , back when Morty and Magnus were around it would only be them really that got a big release , but nowadays a few armies get a refresh

I think if there’s no huge character returns it should be fulgrim , but if they announce leman russ is coming out with the space wolves, yeah it’s lights out the space marine stans aren’t letting that go

Russ will be 2026 like how the Lion arrived just before10th, he won't arrive with the Space Wolves refresh. Oddly it's only the Demon Primarchs that do that.

They're not very good writers and they don't put any value in the text they publish. We spend more time trying to read into what they say than they spend writing it. That's why we so often get false impressions like 'double reveal Heresy Thursday', 'biggest reveal show ever' and so on.

If GW made better upgrade sprues they could really enhance the factions and make them all more unique.

 

Thinking about the Emperor's Children, you'd really want.

 

-The Primarch + one or two named characters.

-A generic hero unit

-2 Different unique infantry units

-A vehicle/monster

 

Now imagine we had a really extensive upgrade set, even better than what the Black Templars got.

It could come with unique weapons for Rhinos, Predators and Landraiders, multiple unique weapons for infantry etc. It would make all the generic options shared across the factions more special and themed.

But on this topic, I would love a Death Guard scale release - but the rumours feel so narrow. However it is far far more exciting than generic space marine upgrade with all the same characters you know and love, despite being space marines we all know and love.
