I'm not even surprised or annoyed that there weren't teaser videos today. I already expressed earlier in this thread that I expected as much from the absolute lack of even a passing mention about them doing anything of the sort. But the playful "not today heehee" that might not even amount to anything, buried in a response to a response to a tweet, that I do find annoying.

 

Thankfully LVO is in two weeks anyway. And for us in particular there might even be another Ecstatic Epistle next week, if they're still doing that after Fulgrim's reveal.

Usually it's used to convey a playful tone through text.

Ahhh I see so it’s a hmmm not todayyy , ok now what I’m scared of is that LVO is just gonna show knights and this teaser for future things and not be an a official showing of ec stuff

I doubt they'd show the teaser of future things at LVO, they probably just wouldn't bother doing it this year

Hmmmm yeah that is a shame , it is crazy how sealed shut they’ve got this ec release on, like 0 leaks, no Christmas rumour calendar, no what’s to come in 2025 , they don’t want us to see any full body visuals of any of the stuff until the finale

It'll arrive when it arrives. Ultimately we know what's coming, we know it's 2025.

 

Best advice at this point is to sit and chill. Expecting anything every day is just going to get disappointing for you.

Mathematically, tildes (~) convey approximation.

 

(Like if a=4.1 and b=4.0, then a~b, depending on the degree of precision that you care about.)

 

That's how I tend to use it, resultingly. If I say something "came out last ~October", my intent is that it was around last October... but maybe as far back as late September or as close as early November. "Roughly October."

 

(This might be entirely a me thing, though...)

That's why to me the ~ in the end seems to convey "not today or anything close to today" or rather a "no, not this time" answer but in the usual more cryptic way the community does "negative replies"

Like I said earlier, that's the common sense approach. There's no obvious indications EC are in the first half of 2025 at this point even, there are 2 full army refreshes to get out, a knights codex, maybe 2, then there's complete guesswork after that.

 

In reality you know there is an EC release coming, it's this year and has a fulgrim in the line up. Expecting the whole shebang any time soon won't help.

 

Once guard and eldar are out the door, knights have had a preview, then I suspect you'll get more.

Supposedly guard goes up for preorder 11th Jan, so 29th release for the army box, so I suspect it's more likely Feb for guard unless they drop it all at once then March for Eldar.

Something to keep in mind is that all the 40k releases are also sharing production queue space with what is looking like a very busy year for Age of Sigmar as well as a Rumored new edition of Horus Heresy.

HH 3.0 should be the summer release - June/ July traditionally.

Well I think like people have said there’s no point theorising dates , all we know is it’s rumoured to be spring so that could be march could be June we just have to sit tight and be as patient as you can

One thing to note that GW consider the army box the faction launch, so if the guard set does drop on the 11th (it could release on either 18th or 25th GW seem picky when they do 2 week windows) then the door is absolutely open for Eldar army set at the end of February leaving mid/end of March for combined Knights launch*. This leaves April or May for EC which is most likely next in line. 

 

I reckon that by the time we get to June, every EC set will be in the wild. Hopefully with good production numbers so everyone gets what they want. This leaves time for the HH hype machine (i think the jury was still out on wether this is a box refresh/rules clean up or new edition overhaul. I think the former.).

 

* my belief is that both Knights books will drop the same day, along with all associated bits and bobs. Especially if both factions are sharing the same Knight chassis as some rumours state.

Something for WE is also earmarked for April. We’ll have to wait and see what.

Possibly a preview for a summer release.

 

Possibly nothing at all. (see: past Orktobers sans Orks. GW could likewise "celebrate" a World Easter without any World Eaters.)

Yeah I'm still on the fence with the world eaters thing, we'll see what comes of it in April, even then  I think we'll get the Wolves before the other 3 chaos releases (who'll come bumbling through the door three stooges style)

Hopefully not! If they’re incorporating daemons, then they would ideally all release at the same time. 
 

Although this could mean a small release for WE, DG and TS.
