EC Rumours

I know this is really off topic lol , but do you guys ever think they will make a new doomrider, cause currently he is a decapitated head on the white scars home world to stop him from returning to the warp , or do you think they’ll leave him to the void of an ancient character and model

I don't give ol' Doomrider a straight 0% chance of ever showing up again but I'd say he's definitely under the "unlikely" category. There's always the chance GW decide to pull on the nostagia strings a bit and bring him back. I'll give him more chances of re-entering existence when Chaos Bikers get updated though.

That would be a cool little integration mix of bikers and here’s a biker character for ec , like it seems with rumours a lot of space marine chapters are getting terminator characters cause of all the new terminator units.

 

also they may make him a warhammer+ annual model like that world eaters guy was or maybe a black library model, that would be cool, I feel like ec have a few solid characters they can return like him and eidolon are just too good to miss

Certainly room for a Headless Horseman or Ghost Rider archetype to work.

Btw, promotional images for LVO are showing the Lucius teaser amongst the rest of the minis. It really seems like GW is going to expose it all this week.

I feel we may not get it all , but I don’t feel like all they’ll show is Lucius (or at least I hope) , if they show the boxset would be amazing , but maybe they do Lucius and the noise marines , and then in march show the rest , again all up in the air until 5am Friday

it’s just them posting the countdown for it , but obviously confirming that Lucius will be a reveal at LVO , the rest is just wishful thinking that it isn’t just Lucius being shown

A mere couple of weeks ago we had people citing past release timeframes (despite the inconsistency of GW's release schedule over the years) and saying that the 40k release schedule meant that in all likelihood we wouldn't see any EC at LVO at all. I'm not sure if we'll get it all (though we're not a huge release, so it's possible) but I think it is very likely that we'll see more than Lucius. Fingers crossed

I’m sure they’ll do it at a good speed to hopefully be an early spring release

I still feel like with most of the rest of the range coming in a box that’ll be at least a month before Lucius, if we’re seeing Lucius, we’ll probably see it all.

It’s a tough one cause sadly true we aren’t getting a huge range refresh, so if Lucius gets shown and the boxset gets shown, they may as well show it all cause all that would be left are the “sword masters” unless there’s some non rumoured things coming along which I see as a rare occurrence, so it’s either all or nothing in my eyes , unless they tease us once more with one noise marine (which I will tweak cause I have had enough of ec teases, we’ve had a year of it already, either reveal or don’t)

That’s what I mean. I think it’s all or nothing too, and we know they’re showing Lucius, so most likely all in my opinion. And I will be very disappointed if not. And I know it’ll be my own fault but that will not help.

Fingers crossed eh. This coming Saturday there's a bonkers amount on pre orders which gives hope that the churn this year will accelerate.

 

I don't even mind when the EC stuff drops, I'd just like to see it to start planning.

According to Valrak, there's two generic HQs, the Cacophonist and the other one with the spear, so that'd make an extra kit, or at least and extra build from one kit. Guess we'll see.

Yeah I can see them making that a dual kit but if they make it 2 different sculpts that would be amazing.

 

Yeah I’ve just had enough of 3d renders and rumours teases, I want to get to the main course and see what we’ll all be buying and playing and loving.

According to Valrak, EC are launching with Fulgrim, Lucius, EC Legionaries, "Noise Marines", 3-man Blademasters and the EC Cacaphonist/Lord guy.

That makes 6 kits in total, exactly the same number of unique kits as TSons and WE have.

I suspect the cacphonist is a separate kit. So im reality there are 4 units they've opted not to include in the box, we've seen 1 of them, we're about to see another. It feels to me like those not in the box are being drip fed slowly with the intent of the box being last.

I think my wishful thinking in my head is they do a krieg thing where it’s like here all of it but you can get some of this earlier than others in this boxset, but who knows , just under 3 days , stay strong and keep pushing through (I’m talking to myself lol)

They did the same with the Gitmob box for AoS at the same preview as the Krieg one, showed the army box as well as the couple of kits that are coming later. 
 

I also don’t see them showing everything that’s coming after the box before they show the box. That’s not the order they’ve ever done it, as far as I can remember. Obviously Fulgrim being an exception here but I think that was a big Christmas reveal for them.

Yeah , I think ec are gonna get more than Lucius just cause if they weren’t the 40K main attraction Lucius wouldn’t be on the advertising, they’d of done one of those before they end the stream here’s one more thing to show you and had a silhouette of a knight for the next codex after eldar , so it does feel very all over the place

Dark angels, they shown Asmodai and Deathwing knights before they had shown the full box content and Asmodai was a later release.

 

There have also been reveal cases of only leaving a couple models unpreviewed only to drop them on the mondays shortly after.

 

Most weird split up of previews you can imagine they have done before... especially because split up previews Where the standard, so none of that is unusual behavior. 

 

Having a full "big" release preview drop in one preview show is the more unusual behavior.. Let alone 3 of them. We already are in very weird behavior territory since last preview show ;) so hanging on to any "thats how they do things" is out of the window.

 

They could show corsairs, full emperors children range and a knight upgrade kit and it still would be less kits shown than krieg+AW eldar last time. So the amount shown is not a deciding factor.

 

On the other hand they could show just Lucius and whatever the kit replacing current noise marines is and show nothing else for 40k.. leaving a "why then just not show the Phoenix lords and AW at LVO so they had two filled previews" as a big head scratcher.. this is GW after all, it wouldnt suprise me.
