Flawlessly executed minis.

A perfect blend of new while still keeping an eye on Jes Goodwins timeless designs.

All the vehicles and demon engines. The Hellbrute. The sorceror guy. And then of course all the Slaanesh demons.

And spawn don't forget spawn! Imma use Slaangor as spawn or maybe as a second unit of blades depending on base size.

No reason why we can't get special terminators at some point down the road along with things like sonic dreadnoughts etc, so there's still hope! It is a pity, but we were never going to get all of the possible goodies in a release this size, and I'm just glad they've smashed it out of the park

certainly, something for wave 2 maybe. just always looking for more terminators lol

Don't do it! Don't give people the idea! None of the other legions have had a wave 2 yet, it's lead to years of gnashing and dashed hopes.

haha wave 2 won't be for years. Votann 2 years in and still waiting. World Eaters about to get a little something this year, so yeah... wait for this release, don't hold out hopes for wave 2 in 2-3 years.

GW has too many armies and it takes too long to get back to a wave 2 or more from the initial wave release. such is the state of 40k life.

Wave 2? What is that? When was the last time we got a wave 2? I assume it will be a drip feed ripple once every second year. And if the cult marines get the daemons, GW will claim that they all got huge amount of models this edition, and can wait for 5-10 years till next time they get a box with more than one character.

maybe and i guess it depends on how you look at it. other armies have had multiple waves. DG, Necrons and so on. Eldar about to get wave 2.

Don´t know what bothers me on lucius really, maybe it´s the lack of tormented souls on his armor. Now he looks more like excited night lord more then lore lucius. Old one atleast had couple faces on its armor

Edit, added pic

In the video you can see that there are faces on his left shoulder pad and on his right calf and probably on his right shin. But I agree that they could possible do more like on his right forearm.
nevertheless, I absolutely love the whole ec range !

I know they probably started work on each mongod legion sequentially but if I was a world eater player looking at my silly possessed or a death guard player looking at my silly tentacle monsters and saw how much better the EC look I’d quit playing.

oh totally forgot about Thousand Sons but that’s not my fault GW did too

I think I pretty much love everything except the Noise Marines. They’re not bad models, but I thought they’d be the unit you’d look at and think ‘man, the EC are really messed up, huh?’ But they look more ‘normal’ than even the HH Kakophani. Just Marines with big guns and backpacks. They’re not far off the Havocs, looks wise.

First thing my son said was “where are the guitars?”

I said in the other thread that the release made me feel the WE models are quite dated looking somehow, the eightbound in particular

I'm drooling all over this! Wanted to start EC for a decade or so, but never got behind the first squad. I satisfied my longings for Slaanesh with a Slaanesh demons army. Now they are in one codex? I'm fine with that!

Only problem was that I wanted to get rid of stuff and not buy more

New models are incredible. Lucius is fantastic.

On another note, Fulgrim is clearly a fan of the Primaris. He's heavily inspired by their naming structure when it comes to his own legion.

"Tormentors"

"Infractors"

The perfect way to describe the EC range is that they are excessive, which in this case is a well deserved compliment.

My only pet peeve is that the melee/ranged normal marines could have been a single unit, but that ship sailed long ago.

About Daemons being rolled into the legion books, I've been an advocate of it since AoS came up with that idea, it just makes sense to combine daemons and mortals of a God in the same book, just make it so you have at least 3 types of detachments, 1 full daemons, 1 full mortals and 1 mixed.

Yes, it's a shame that Chaos Daemons as we know them will cease to exist, but as long as GW keeps that option around as an index I don't see the problem.

Am I the only one disappointed by 3 man squads?
I love the models, they’re insanely good! But I wish they were 5 man squads!
I don’t know why 3 man squads bother me so much.. I just miss everything being in multiples of 5, I feel like squads have more presence on the table in multiples of 5.
Anybody else feel that way or is it just me?

Plague Marines being sold in 7's makes my head hurt. You're not alone.

As long as there is the option of taking squads of six i am happy. :D

Wonder if we'll see the Daemons receive techy bits (like the Tzaangor sprue), in the wake of Vashtorr's ascension/appearance? Artwork's not a reliable guide, but interesting to see a more mechanical/ornamented Daemonette(?) on the cover of the upcoming EC Codex.

I feel like they look more like human cultists to be completely honest. Especially the face on the right and the body of the one on the left with the mechanical claw.

If I can get 5 boxes of noise marines and run them as 3x5 man squads, then it would be ok I guess haha..

I am sad about Deamons being rolled in. Not because I don't want them to be rolled in that part is ok, but because it likely means solo deamons or a deamons only codex is less and less likely. I guess we'll see. but we also kinda knew it was coming.
