Sang Guard are also A) a LSM unit and B) a unit from a Divergent chapter.

They statistically get treated better than Chaos units.

I mean... I based my ridiculous prediction for the Flawless blades after the DWK and ICC launch state pre-fix.

I think they could mess it up at launch and fix it in the errata.

I agree, but my point still stands as a counter point to only having one weapon profile.

Only time will tell.

It’s just what I’ve heard , no proof just like everything right now it’s just words. Nothing is proven until we get it straight from the horses mouth

Valrak stated it on one of his streams. It's something he's "heard" and it's also something that can't really be proved without an influencer being blacklisted. Basically, if the preorder notification arrives in a week's time, then you'll get your answer as that content will be ready to go the following Saturday.

Don't forget that World Eaters, as bad as that line up is, have multiple loadouts for the Eightbound and Exalted Eightbound.

Pretty much everything right now is all hearsay , “leaks” people saying people have it , it’s all being said and it’s like sure but means nothing until a proper leak and/or gw show it off

Though even then, an Eviscerator is an Eviscerator, whether it be a sword or an axe. Whereas in older editions those might have been different weapons.

It's also something that doesn't take much evidence to predict, as with pre-order day everyone with review copies and their mother posts their assemblies and painted examples.

The only reason it gets mentioned so frequently now is that it stokes the frenzied excitement EC players have for the mere potential of leaks. They're foaming at the mouth, at the mere potential of a whiff of a leak.

Could go either way. Having different weapons isn't enough to split a profile.

Tyranid Warriors have three different melee weapons on the models, all use a unified profile.

GSC Aberrants have giant power hammers and dual power picks, use a unified profile.

Yes, but those are a different kind of unit. Flawless Blades are the 3 man elite of the elite units. Comparable specialized marine units are Inner Circle Companions, Sanguinary Guard, Deathshroud Terminators, Exalted Eightbound... All of those have several weapon profiles, even the DA and DG ones, which only have one loadout.

And the Flawless Blades are supposed to be the best swordsmen of the Legion, or any Legion. If the rules didn't make a difference in the fighting style of those guys with one or two swords it would be soooo lame.

They're probably gonna get a Strike and Sweep profile, which I'm actually okay with.

Could the "punishment for calling on their Daemon patrons and failing to get any kills" be something like a hazardous melee profile?

Something like one basic attack, and then an enhanced one that's straight up better but inflicts X mortal wounds on the Flawless Blades unit if it misses?

Apparently the punishment for using the daemon power and not killing the target is death (which I assume will be MW on the blades).

I hate it.

Mostly because I kinda want it/them but I'm already buying and army box which has a Codex and cards in it, so spending even more money on a fancy limited edition Codex is ill advised, and then I'd also have to buy the other three because the whole point would be to have these all together because this is the moment I've been waiting for for a very long time, but that's a lot of money just for some books.

I literally said the same thing to my friends haha, I hate the fomo box has a codex and cards cause I want this! lol

was hoping they’d be cheeky and flip a datacard over, but I guess we shall remain ruleless for a bit longer

Damn.. I didnt think about that.. thats kind of a low blow and I wonder what is the worse one : Showing this now so people can make a hard choice decision, or showing this after the boxset would have been on preorder ( while technically that would have been worse, it makes it easier to mentally go "ah well, I already have the codex coming my way." )

I also personally feel like this makes they kind of "have" to do a little more than a solo character (or solo automata unit in TS case.) release with the other codexes, otherwise the whole thing smells even more cheap. ( despite these kind of things not necessarily being as profitable for a miniatures company as people think.)

Man that is tough. You buy the army box and get a codex. Then you buy the special codex because it’s beautiful. And now you have 2 codex you don’t need. Lol

brutal.
and you need to collect all of the special for the medals. Which we know will sell out and be scalped all to hell

its super cool but I am kinda glad that I am missing out. Less stress and money

It's nice to see proper special edition codexes back. For years the special editions have been rubbish really. This is proper and there's incentive it actually get it.

I will try and get a copy. If I miss out I won't mind. Question is, how much are they going to charge?

100+ easy. which considering what it is and how it looks, not so bad. I remember the old liber chaotica special editions. those were nice.

They were good books, this is super shiny. Considering the 'collectors' edition codexes are double the normal price, I'm assuming this will be around $200CAD in which case I'd bow out I think
