All we can do is hope that we're up next week I guess. After waiting all these years, what's another week, but it would be nice to see them effectively capitalise on the hype for once. I want this release to do well.

While I normally would agree, with the current sunday I adjusted my releaseplan guess ( its not just extremely wild guessing, because trying to shuffle anything would not match the certainities.):

I'm not saying what you've laid out isn't a reasonable guess, but this is a company which routinely uses humour in its articles and for whom terms like 'soon' 'very soon' and 'now' range in meaning from 'this weekend' to 'the heat death of the universe'. World Eaters as a release making sense at around that time = a reasonable hypothesis based off what we know, a 'World Easter' comment made at Christmas does not = 'all but confirmed'. Don't forget that this is the same company that said Knights were after Eldar, things change, and people read too far into things said on WHC and various GW social media accounts, looking for clues where none usually exist.

Gw have always struggled to release on the peak of hype , same as on the time of release , it’s why leaks happen and they get pissed, cause they draw out these teases and teases and then they finally get to reveals and you’re either at the whim of they want you out now or the end of time.

I remember necrons release in 9th they revealed all the models including the chronomancer and flayed ones, all the necron stuff got released at the start of the edition, you could not buy the chronomancer or flayed ones for 7 months after until they released the kill team but it was a poster army, just seems to struggle with priorities

Absolutely agree, Im often among the first to point out those things and especially WHC often requires more salt than some rumor sources.

I was merely pointing out that the way things are going even if it wasnt the plan to begin with, it is getting harder to NOT get one of 3 different games World eaters releases on easters next week preview.

But thats already assuming the order is as in the picture : world eaters -> Deathguard -> Thousand sons, wich I actually doubt, and the rumors pan out true on kill team. two big assumptions already.

WE being in April also lines up with GW’s announced release plans, as well as the mention in the EC special edition codex announcement to keeping “eight eyes” open for the next special edition Chaos codex release.

It’s clearly planned soon, and they plan to release all 4 cult books close together. While “cryptic” these posts are PR/ads by a publicly traded company, not random tweets by an intern. I suppose time will tell.

I would imagine that if the daemons are all being consolidated into the cult books they will want to release them in fairly short order once the first one drops too.

I think that was always the intention.

Or the eight eyes refers to the 8 points on the Chaos star, and the general chaos mutations.

I think we may get a release order at AdeptiCon

Dont forget the warhammer world store anniversary open day preview event ( scratch what doesnt apply ) on march 1..

Custodes codex+mini+box, Orks codex+mini+box, AoS Darkoath release wave and Gnomes for Bloodbowl

Arks of Omen farsight+ Farsight, Boss Snikrot, Slaanesh Battletome+mini, Khorne battletome+mini

Its very difficult to find details of older events reveals, but it has regularily been a source of a small previews afaik, and when I read the old topics just now the reaction is always "completely forgot about this event"

Anyway I think those details might be revealed there, the focus of Adepticon leaning more to the loyal spacemarines of the roadmap.

Fair to say that if EC is not announced for pre-order on March 1st this Sunday February 23rd, our dissatisfaction with GW’s release schedule will increase?

At this point i wouldn’t be surprised if they’re holding it til the new financial year , but I can’t think of other releases as of right now but I think all we have left are ec and the soulblight gravelords boxes so it’s whoever they want going first which I wouldn’t put it past them to be sigmar

People elsewhere on the internet are saying that next week is back to AOS for the Gloomspite release, so I'm bracing for at least another week's wait.

Oh yeah…. Forgot about them ….. ok so we have a 33.3333333333333333 percent chance it’s the ec fomo box

I think that’s what is the most irritating part is that they are delaying the release of the fomo box which isn’t even the official release so it just pushes it all back , so we just want something to sink our teeth into , they could give that to us and then in the gap between the main release release the sigmar stuff

I don't think it's delayed, they just revealed it too early. Likewise they won't want a massive gap between the army release box and the rest being available I'd imagine. Hard to drum up hype for a new army you can't buy, as you're noting.

I have the money ready and waiting to go, it's taken a few weeks to get to this point so I'm happy with the delay so far, now I want it to be available so I can actually have it in my hands.

The most frustrating part is this absolute silence after the reveal, acting like they didn’t show us the entire range.
We waited for a long time, decades, why not giving us just some articles on the gameplay? Army wide rules? Something like that., to make the wait a little bearable.

They only really do those rule posts when they announce on the Sunday preview that the box is out for pre order next Saturday, that’s why it’s dead cold, so until they announce the fomo box nothing will change sadly, that’s the part getting to people they release aeldari and krieg back to back so fast and then just stopped the pattern for ec which is infuriating , but maybe Sunday we can see movement

So we’re getting about one army a month so far this year.  There’s at least 11 books left.  This is getting ridiculous.

I’m surprised EC hasn’t dropped yet.  I wonder if there are still production issues even after the pause.

We will be done just in time for the 11th edition :teehee:

Enjoy the few weeks you can use your codex, who ever is due last this time

I know it's "only a few weeks", and it may seem ridiculous but the wait really has been a killer of hype. Still aiming for 2 boxes as/ when.

It really has its like a fatigue of excitement, last Sunday killed it big time, and if it isn’t this weekend it’ll just be gone , and it’s not like when it’s announced it’s out instantly , gotta wait a week for pre order and then 2 weeks after that , so just it being announced is the minimum
