So we’re getting about one army a month so far this year.  There’s at least 11 books left.  This is getting ridiculous.

I’m surprised EC hasn’t dropped yet.  I wonder if there are still production issues even after the pause.

Really? They have products other than 40k to sell, they had 4 army boxes pending in the same time frame, plus the eldar release.

What would be ridiculous would be expecting 3 full sized army releases in a 2 month window for 1 game system.

There were very vocal groups all over  demanding GW revealed the whole army when they did. That doesn't mean GW is or was ready to release it. There's also a release missing atm (knights) and it looks like the EC release is actually landing as planned.

I was a big advocate of them not showing it all, with the expectation that it wouldn't be out until March, but instead they dumped it all and now it's dry season with a wait.

Sorry I kind of lost track of this, but did they announce a pre-order date? Is it possible it is tomorrow?

Nope and definitely nope.

Saturday pre orders are announced the previous Sunday. As such, the earliest it'll be up for pre order is announced this Sunday (23rd) with a pre order date of March 1st, release the 15th.

Let’s pray we get the best case scenario

Well, considering influencers have it in hand (allegedly, and it was this, I think, Valrak was basing his original release theory on), it will be "soon" as they would have had three-four weeks by next Saturday to get their videos ready. Though it doesn't change the fact that they'll be out in March, with the other Chaos releases leading us to June most likely.

If we safely assume soulblight and some oddments fill the rest of March, it'll be 4 40k books (4 legion books) before summer

One army a month would be fine if GW had edtions lasting at least four years. Three is just too short. Every faction should get at least a full year of the current edition with a codex. Some armies only get a handful of months.

GW is literally indefensible in this regard.

Seeing complaints about only “one army a month” made me chuckle. That’s still a ludicrously fast release rate compared to when I started the hobby in 2nd.

Yes, it's odd really. I remember the days well.

Personally I think I'd be less antsy if they hadn't said "now" for releases and also had people not said it's with influencers so will be this weekend, oh no, the weekend after... One month later.

Patience is a virtue and in the grand scheme, it's not a long period of time. However, I hope we see the army box tomorrow so I can then begin the chase for boxes #facepalm

Yeah, the World Eaters release for 9th edition was comical. “Congratulations, you’re your own army now! Here’s a codex! Aaaaand it’s gone.”

I think the scuttlebutt is that 11th will be an update of 10th, and not a clean slate so the codices should carry over, however.

2-3 editions that are iterations of the previous ones and then a rules refresh in various degrees, have been SoP for GE since 3rd edition

I feel like yeah patience is key but I also feel saying hey guys just wait is sinful to say to an emperors children fan lol, I think they are one of the armies that have waited the most, it’s just more difficult now cause they’ve dangled it all in our face going look at everything you wanted right here “now” buutttttt wait more here’s old world and black library stuff.

so yeah I hope tomorrow our pain is eased but I won’t be surprised if it’s gloomspite gitz or soulblight gravelords or even just the aeldari combat patrol and a high five

I think Exodite fans might want a word there about waiting
