Dredmour's Dark Angels Commission WIP

I thought I'd share some pics of Dark Angels I'm painting up for my Battle Brother. I'll be painting a force of about 30 marines to start. This is the first 5-man squad at various stages of completion. My goal is to have them finished and based this week. C&C welcome, this is my first time painting for commission, and I'd appreciate any quick tips on how I could improve my process or result.

I'm not skilled enough to give any tips but from my eyes that green looks great start. Definitely a dark and gritty feel coming through. I've always been a fan of bolters in red.

It has been entirely too long since I have made an update to this project, but I have made great progress. I've been quietly toiling away on my commission for my best friends Dark Angels. I am in the home stretch of this battle force and will try to keep my updates more regular as I finish. Everything but the dreadnaught and 5 man squad still needs some work and an oil wash. for time's sake my friend will handle basing.

 

Here is the original 5 man squad with a redemptor dreadnaught. I'm really happy to get the first center piece model on the board.

Here is my rendition of Master Lazarus. He's not fully finished but I'm happy with where he's at for now.

 

 

 

As a final touch I quickly painted up these pieces of printed terrain in Dark Angels colors.
