WD 505 Bunker Crusade

For any Crusaders out there:

 

In addition to WD 505's Sisters Crusade content, which you can read about here, the Bunker is running another Crusade campaign. This one is set in the Pariah Nexus, and there's early indications that it might be better than their previous campaign, which I found to be a tad disappointing.

 

This one sets the action in a System that I assume isn't covered by the Pariah Crusade book- the Paradyce system. They provide a system "map" that tells you the planet types, and they tell you what the system was called by its original Necrontyr residents. That's about as far as the details go (so far), but it still manages to feel like more setting development than they put into the last campaign (mostly because I think they relied on the Tyrannic War book to do it for them).

 

The big rule thing that appears this month is a D66 campaign events table. I think they could have gone further with this- the rules are okay, but I think each item on the table could have used a small fluff blurb to help it feel like more than just a rule. But I did think it was funny that campaign events for the Paradyce system are generated on a d66 chart, which requires you to roll a Pait o' Dice.

 

Hopefully they put some effort into it moving forward. One thing I do like: though it's a Crusade campaign, players can also play Combat Patrol or Kill Team games as part of the Campaign. In fighting between alliance members is also allowed, but doesn't confer campaign points, because it doesn't move the Alliance's agenda forward.
