Necromunda perhaps?

Its a weird angle. Has the rumour engine messed with angles before, or is this the angle its likely to be at?

If they did its rare, I think sometimes when it was expected it turned out not to be.

However even if it was switched around, it still reminds me mostly of one of the CSM Havoc weapons, wich has its ammo in this angle. (though different shape, more curved, and a different ammo.)

Looks similar to the old, top-loading missile launchers/autocannons that CSM had, but without any fins/tapering that missiles generally have. Maybe a top-loading autocannon? Can't really see it as an Emperor's Children special weapon, so not likely them.... Could be some sort of new heavy weapon for the IG- call back to the old sitting heavy weapons?

It's a heavy weapon, likely an autocannon or heavy bolter. What's shown is the magazine which would feed further into the weapon as each round is fired.

Possibly for the krieg release as their design tends more towards WW1/WW2 style equipment which would fit with this although the old valhallan models used this type as well.

Reminds me of the chargers of bolters on  castellax miniatures. A lil'  bit.

And although it does not fit that well with the 1000S's Achea, could it be an embodiment of this for the rumoured battle automata for 42nd millenium? Should be a big calibre bolter though... Too big for a wrist mounted stuff maybe? Or may it be a revisited shoulder mounted HB for this droid?

To be honest, Jukkiz might be on to something there - we know they are working on more than one new faction in plastic for the system (we can comfortably tick Dark Mechanicum as one of them), so a dedicated Imperial Army range (to replace / expand upon Imperialis Militia) and Daemons of the Ruinstorm aren't entirely out of reach. It's already been insanely wild watching Solar Auxilia and Mechanicum drop in plastic within six months of each other.
