grailkeeper
Necromunda perhaps? Its a weird angle. Has the rumour engine messed with angles before, or is this the angle its likely to be at? ZeroWolf
That's an interesting one, possibly something for HH? There's nothing really to mark it out as a factions style, at least not to me Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384325-the-rumour-engine-22nd-october-2024/#findComment-6072347 Share on other sites

Has the rumour engine messed with angles before, or is this the angle its likely to be at? If they did its rare, I think sometimes when it was expected it turned out not to be. However even if it was switched around, it still reminds me mostly of one of the CSM Havoc weapons, wich has its ammo in this angle. (though different shape, more curved, and a different ammo.) Lord_Ikka
Looks similar to the old, top-loading missile launchers/autocannons that CSM had, but without any fins/tapering that missiles generally have. Maybe a top-loading autocannon? Can't really see it as an Emperor's Children special weapon, so not likely them.... Could be some sort of new heavy weapon for the IG- call back to the old sitting heavy weapons? Marshall Bretton
It's a heavy weapon, likely an autocannon or heavy bolter. What's shown is the magazine which would feed further into the weapon as each round is fired. Possibly for the krieg release as their design tends more towards WW1/WW2 style equipment which would fit with this although the old valhallan models used this type as well. phandaal, Halandaar, MithrilForge and 6 others 5 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384325-the-rumour-engine-22nd-october-2024/#findComment-6072356 Share on other sites
grailkeeper
If it is a heavy weapon, the angle makes me think it might on the side of a vehicle or something similar. Urauloth
Yeah those definitely look like autocannon shells. If there's really a wider DKoK release coming, it could be a weapon team for that? Also damn, those Valhallan designs were so nice. I know we'll never see them in plastic, but man, what if. phandaal 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/384325-the-rumour-engine-22nd-october-2024/#findComment-6072365 Share on other sites

Ayatollah_of_Rock_n_Rolla
Weren't there rumours about another new regiment besides Krieg? So since I prefer Krieg to keep its old drumm mags for Autocannons, I'm gonna say: "It's clearly Praetorians". mecanojavi99
The closest thing Krieg wise would the Twin Heavy Stubber Weapons Team. It's the only one of the old Krieg Weapon Teams that used top mounted vertical magazines. By comparison, the Heavy Bolter one was belt fed and the Autocannon one had a drum magazine. Bouargh
Reminds me of the chargers of bolters on castellax miniatures. A lil' bit. And although it does not fit that well with the 1000S's Achea, could it be an embodiment of this for the rumoured battle automata for 42nd millenium? Should be a big calibre bolter though... Too big for a wrist mounted stuff maybe? Or may it be a revisited shoulder mounted HB for this droid? Inquisitor_Lensoven
Definitely a missile/rocket launcher of some sort likely originally an imperial design. so I’m guess EC or votann related. Joe
To be honest, Jukkiz might be on to something there - we know they are working on more than one new faction in plastic for the system (we can comfortably tick Dark Mechanicum as one of them), so a dedicated Imperial Army range (to replace / expand upon Imperialis Militia) and Daemons of the Ruinstorm aren't entirely out of reach. It's already been insanely wild watching Solar Auxilia and Mechanicum drop in plastic within six months of each other.
