Was not expecting to see Arjac prioritized!

List is otherwise expected and exciting!

Lack of Lukas is kind of sad (his book is amazing) but promising.

Just because he's not getting a model now, doesn't mean he'll never get one

He'll be a prime candidate for 11th edition.

Mmmm I'm worried that there's mention of a new Wolf Priest but not new Ulrik, I would hate for him to banish like poor Corbulo, when a dual kit that allows you to build him or a generic Wolf Priest would be ideal.

This Ulrik?

Why are you worried about him? He's plastic. And relatively new in the grand scheme of things by the looks of him. Corbulo was finecast and from the 90s.

Surprised by Arjac, but certainly not complaining.

Wolf Priest with Ulrik as a build option is what I predicted on the previous thread, but even if it's just a generic one that's arguably more important than Ulrik anyway. As far as I remember, Wolf Priests have never had a specific mini (barring a Lt Edition Games Day one) and always had to be represented as either Chaplains or Apothecaries, so imo righting that wrong is a good thing.

Logan just got a new model though.

He's "new" in the grand scheme of things, yeah, but this is the "upscaling Terminators" edition, it seems. Plus they probably want to take the opportunity to undo the sled.

New Wolf Guard Terminators HAVE to be coming given that character list alone

I remain dubious. I think the fact that Deathwing Terminators were historically very similar to Wolf Guard Terminators in terms of their role and loadout options, and that those were consolidated into a cosmetic upgrade of generic Terminators suggests that WG might get the same fate.

That said Deathwing retain some of their unique Terminator imagery through the Deathwing Knights kit so it's possible there could be a Wolf Guard kit, but I would think it would have it's options severely cut down and essentially be reimagined as a dedicated melee unit, rather than it's current iteration where it can be basically whatever it wants.

Here's the thing though. Blood Angels basically got a new Corbulo around the same time as Ulrik (basically this guy was Corbulo in all but name).

Sanguinary Priest - Blood Angels

The new Sanguinary Priest kit builds one chap who looks exactly like Curbulo and even has the Grail but they still squatted him.

A new Logan would actually be welcome as, him being in Terminator armour he will (hopefully) be safe from being excessively redesigned, and frankly that sled has to go. A new Bjorn...hmmm. I feel like the current one does everything it needs to do. And honestly I'd rather they throw Castraferrum fans a bone (pun intended) and spare at least one non-Redemptor chassis Dreadnought kit.

Sad to hear Lukas the Trickster seems to have been forgotten. Not so sad about Canis Wolfborn as frankly I didn't like him at the time. Hopeful the other characters get good upgrades as, again, Terminator armour should keep them fairly faithful. A bit worried about Wolf Guard; their whole thing is "unit of individual heroes" and I just know they're going to strip out all customization from them and either A: make them into some aesthetic features for an otherwise-identical Terminator unit, B: give them all a new weapon that they all have to take, or C: pull a Sword Brethren and give them unique weapon options that can't be swapped out along with seriously janky rules.

I wonder with the Grimnar focus, if the new upgrade sprue might have Grimnar shoulder pads instead of the customary Ragnar.

Mad hatter idea: Logan becomes a new dreadnought character to replace Bjorn and Ragnar becomes Chapter Master, decals and molded pads finally fit.

btw i heard a space wolves phobos kit is going to be a thing. do what you wilt with this info.

Probably just Hounds of Morkai reboxed to have the new upgrade sprue rather than the current one.

Told it was brand new and vibing classic Wolf scouts.

That would be good - GW is rapidly running out of names for Wolves-specific reboxed Reivers... Fangs of Ulfrich, Hounds of Morkai, Goodbois of Gunter... it's possible I hallucinated that last one, but the point remains.

Could be worse, at least we haven't hit 'Corgis of Bjarki' yet.

Don't care for the Hounds because they look and feel kind of phoned in but if you give them some runic trim and carvings on their armour, maybe actually occult-looking weapons and decent rules... they could be pretty cool.

On a related note, I was thinking about the DW Knight helmets and the other DA helmets today.

It would be awesome if we could get some Gjermundbu-inspiration on our termi helmets. Maybe some sculpted patterning on the cloth. Feel properly viking.

Even something like the 30k SW Praetor's Anglo-Saxon helmet would be unspeakably badass as an option for Grimnar!

New space wolves praetor and mk6 heads : r/Warhammer40k

Just look at that beauty, if they take similar design cues and minimize the wolf I'd be over the moon.

Models are forever, rules are temporary.

In a perfect world wolf scouts would have all the scout and phobos options possible as well as the ability to take them as lone operatives to show them for the hyper-competent veteran loners that they are. Then again with how good some of the miniature treatment has been in 10th maybe they get fitting attention.
