Or a lazy wolf priest.

Guy can't even be bothered to get a doctorate in totally-athiest theology to go with his medical doctorate.

Dirt poor standards, those codex guys.

(Sidenote: it is objectively hilarious the fluffwise the same guys can do all a Chaplain and an Apothecary's duties without any issue, not sure what that says about either role...)

I'm not sure "Shove a poultice on it and drink these herbs mixed with wolf urine brother" and chanting "wolf wolf wolf wolf" at various volumes counts as Apothecary and Chaplain duties.

Yet, and this is the part that is perhaps more horrifying than years of furry memes, it works.

I mean damn, if your wolf piss and one-word chants are equivalent to their medical experts and clergymen in effectiveness...

On a serious note, I do wonder if we'll ever see Wolf Priests split to align more with coventional Reclusiam/Apothecarion split.

Given that the only one I recall having specifically medicae duties had an unbelievably sick stag-skull helmet with antlers, heck yes!

I wonder if the new Wolf Priest model would represent the dual roles? Like an alternate build, where one is more Priestly and the other is more Medicine-Man.

Apothecaries becoming a more prominent thing since Dark Imperium has been rather annoying for Space Wolves. In the far past, they had Super Chaplains who had Apothecary abilities in the rules but today Wolf Priests are just Chaplains while Apothecaries are outright forbidden. Super Chaplains weren't fair, I get it, but  Chapter diversity by outright forbidding things without alternatives isn't fun either.

I’m wondering if they’ll get Wolfguard in Gravis option to provide Lethal Hits if they don’t get access to the Biologis.

Got some more information from the Whispers this time about rumoured new units, video below for those interested:

Spoiler

- NewGrey Hunters

- New Blood Claws

- New Wolf Terminators

- New Scouts

- New Elite Guard

New elite guard is your self admitted theory, it sounds as if you say the rumor you got said its a HQ unit with (3) marines and wolves and you deduce from it it must be Elite not HQ (elite doesnt exist anymore in the game btw) ?

It sounds very plausible to have a multi model, assymetric HQ type unit. Vanilla spacemarines got one at the start of the edition, and AoS also shown they are still heavy into this approach.

Also in your own summary missing some important things you said :

-- Multipart spacewolf leutenant ( I think they are packleaders in the index.)
-- the New wolfscouts come with wolves/ a wolf.  ( Im wondering if this is the same phobos unit talked about by someone else earlier, since wolfscouts are not neophytes.)

All in all, it sounds like they are wolfing up, not wolfing down.. Im personally very glad about that. I know others are not.. though I still believe its possible to make spacewolves walk on the perfect middleground for both halves of spacewolf vibe.

Well they were described as Guard Units, but whispers get lost in translation :)

Also this was a summary of the video not everything ;)

Gw need to switch off the machine that is extracting everything I want in terms of models direct from my brain, this will bankrupt me!

In all seriousness this sounds really positive although I really hope that the terminators allow for the flexibility that wolves have always had for loadout options rather than sticking with the model of all units having incredibly fixed options.

Called the 3 man Wolfguard and terminators.

The rest though, that's wild if it comes to pass.

On one hand I am thrilled and will definitely buy. On the other hand I have the ominous feeling its going to draw alot of hate from folks that didn't get as much and open a new can of poorly informed memes.

The Wolf Scouts (Potential Hounds of Morkai?) are an unexpected addition.

Not really surprised by new GH/BC's. Do wonder if they're be a dual build kit like the firstborn were.

Kinda surprised by terminators and scouts.

Wolf Guard will be interesting, slightly worried all my conversions with blade/sternguard will be made sort of redundant.

Hoping for more viking, less wolf-wolf but we shall see.

Im pleasantly suprised if GH/BC arent just made from upgrade sprues. Im surprised to the point of scepticism if they both get unique and separate kits

Wolf Scout unit may have a plastic cyberwolf with it.

3 man wolf guard MAY be dismounted Thunderwolves but sounds like wolf guard on foot plus 3 (new) Fenrisian Wolves. Makes sense given GWs succeasful 4 legged sales push

Fenrisian Wolves may be gone as a separate unit

In any event, am stoked for the launch box

My hunch is that like the BA Death Company, they will just be upgrades for Intercessors and Assault Intercessors respectively.

This gives me hope for eventual Black Templar Terminators

Eh, maybe. Not holding my breath.

We're supposedly getting a kit of some sort when our codex rolls around, true

But I'd say BA had a bigger shot then us at getting one, and they just had a head and some shoulder pads on their new upgrade sprue

Eh, that analogy fails for the simple reason of BT being from the past edition and having served as the Divergent prototype.

To a certain degree, BT are the canaries in the coalmine for what the Divergent chapters can expect for coming editions.

Their number of units + HQs + Sprue have more or less provided the template DA, BA and now Wolves followed.

It is reasonable to expect 11th ed DA, BA and SW to follow whatever BT get in 10th.

By that I mean if they will get a unit(s) or a character.

My money is on the latter simply because GW does not tend to have single-kit releases be multi-model (outside of character-tied minions).

If they DID create a new unit (like Termies) or something like a unit Dreadnought it would be time for Divergents to start salivating. A BT chaplain Dread would be unspeakably badass.

Sales wise I could see it happening.

Space Wolf Lieutenants are actually Battle Leaders. The Pack Leaders are the Sergeant equivalent. I am also curious to see what they do with the Scouts, since Wolf Scouts have always been underserved by needing to use the existing Scout models. In the Primaris era, going for the lighter Phobos kit makes a lot more sense than stripping all the way down to carapace armor.

Strong possibility, though I would hope not. Even if they're both Tacticus squads - basicially wolfified Intercessors and Assault Intercessors - I'd like to see completely different base models. The Blood Claws should be more aggressive, actually something like the push-fit Assault Intercessors from Indomitus rather than the more static poses from the MPK Assault Intercessor kit. Meanwhile, the static poses of the standard Intercessor kit would make fine base models for Grey Hunters. As these two kits would form the backbone of many Wolves players' armies going forward, it would be preferable if they could at least differentiate them from each other with different torsos and such.

Plus of course that would leave more sprue space for alternate weapons and wolf bling, with the latter being interchangeable between squads but different between the kits.

In fairness, templars have the crusader squad which is a unique kit, not just an upgrade sprue on an old one so there is precedent for a chapter specific unit there. Gives me hope for a new gw/BC kit.

I'm terms of scouts I'm really curious what they will do, Phobos in my mind really fits the wolf scout background, and I particularly like the eliminators as scouts, building on that platform would be amazing
