Vid is up

Wolfguard/bodyguard have round shields. Confirmed as 3 models plus 3 4 legged wolves.

Greyhunters/bloodclaws confirmed as separate kits but no confirmation if just intercessors plus upgrade sprues

Bespoke Terminator kit with axes and other ranged and melee weapons

Wolf Scouts kit comes with one 4 legged wolf and one dude has a Staff?

The Staff adds more fuel to the idea of Hounds of Morkai being the kit, since they are witch hunters.

Maybe they are fused with Wolf Scouts and have younger Rune Priests with them?

TWC getting legended makes me sad :(

This is just speculation on Valrak's part. For what it's worth, they were taken out of the displays in Warhammer world recently for photography, they are likely still in the new codex but no new models at this time.

Duel kit of wolf scouts and Hounds?

Am trying to manifest Reivers disappearing

Does sound Kill Teamy especially with the canine

I hope its a two build with Hounds. Being led by a Rune Priest/Jr Psyker would be really thematic and add a lot of gameplay to the squad.

I'm not unconvinced they're called "Wolf Scouts" but they're in phobos armour, confusing folks reporting on 'new space wolf scouts.'

I do like the Kill Team speculation, whether they're like the Phobos Strike Team with the bespoke frame or the Scout box with everything baked in to the main sprues (even if that results in weirdness like the Grapnel Launcher which is just decoration in 40K).

Space Wolves have been tied in tight with Phobos for a while - Fangs of Ulfrich, Prophecy of the WolfHounds of Morkai... even the Combat Patrol has Reivers and an Invictor in it. And like I said before, Phobos makes a lot more narrative sense for Wolf Scouts than carapace armor*. Now, with the generic Phobos range probably being done with the exception of stray characters and the inevitable Shrike-pattern Vanguard Vets - AND with the standard Primaris-scale Scouts already released - the timing is right for a chapter-specific take on Phobos.

I also have to wonder - whether the runic staff is part of this or not - if the squad will include the Wolves' version of a Junior Wolf Priest. The Helix Gauntlet might be a legal take for a Wolves army, but it's wildly out of place unless we figure that every science-minded Helix Adept eventually gets religion and suddenly becomes 80% Chaplain.

* Of course now that I've pointed out how much sense Phobos-clad Wolf Scouts would make, the odds just jumped up to even money that they'll be wearing Scout armor.

Out of curiosity, why do we keep calling them 4 legged wolves? Don't wolves normally have 4 legs?

To differentiate between the fully furry 4 legged ones that accompany/or are ridden by the space wolves and 2 legged ones are the marines who are also refered to as Wolves

Seems a bizarre decision that. They'd surely be the biggest sellers in a refresh?

Are there any remaining DA or BA firstborn units left for sale?

For DA anything Ravenwing is still Firstborn so Sammael, Black Knights, the Command Squad, the Land Speeders and the Darkshroud, other than that only Ezeliel.

They also still sell the Interrogator-Chaplain and Company Veterans models but they don't have bespoken unit entries anymore.

For BA only if you count the Baal Predator

Aye; to tell apart the Space Wolves and the space wolves.

Jump Chaplain too.

I do hope there is some differentiation between the kits and that they aren't upgrade kits, not just because I want it so, but also from a pragmatic stance. If Space Wolves retain access to assault intercessors and normal intercessors, it'll be quite difficult on the tabletop to tell the difference if it's just an aesthetic upgrade kit.

Even if they lose access to those two datasheets, having some custom models and being able to mix and match with the more plain standard kits provides a lot of opportunity for really interesting squads.

Jump Chaplain isn't BA branded anymore, it's just baseline SM.

Codex wise, the Chaplain with Jump Pack's datasheet is in C:SM (as opposed to C:BA).

But there is no "Chaplain with Jump Pack" model for sale; only the "Blood Angels Chaplain with Jump Pack".

Right, the answer is basically no besides the baal predator.

The Jump Chaplain is not a BA unit anymore, it's a SM unit. Any other dithering is just arguing for dunking points; it's not a BA unit, it's a SM unit.  There's no entry in the BA codex for it, therefore it's not a BA unit.

I know it's got the words on it, but we are talking about things with nuance, so some nuance is probably required.
