GW Webstore Anniversary voucher

Just received a surprise email from GW with a free £10 voucher to mark the anniversary of making my first order on the new webstore. 

 

Perhaps it's to make up for all the teething troubles...

Its €12 for Euro customers, finally a good exchange rate for GW :)

I'll take that and run. Makes this week's preorder for Heresy Melee Weapons and books a little lighter. 

 

We all need to remember it expires on 2nd December so get out there and treat yourselves!

As an Australian, I assume that had I ever actually bought something from the new store, I would be getting a 50 cent voucher.

IIRC, when WH+ did one for us is was $20-25

The Oz voucher is for AUD25, so it’s in line with the WH+ voucher

Canada is $20. Looks like I'll be trying my luck on the webstore for melee weapons plus extras to get past the shipping threshold

I didnt have anything this morning but came through a couple of hours ago, so maybe will come to you in due course. T&Cs say "customers who have made a purchase on https://www.warhammer.com between the 31st October 2023 and the 30th November 2023 will automatically qualify for this promotion."

I also got a voucher, which is funny cuz I think the only thing I have ever ordered from GW directly (at least post covid) was the free WH+ model.

 

I'll take $15 off though.  I'll be using it to grab the other WH+ mini for this year.

I worked it out  GW would still be ripping me off...even with the Voucher... Wonderful!!

I know I should have expected it, as there's only two responses you can have to the topic of a free voucher, and "oh that's nice" isn't really the internets MO, but can we just agree that this is technically free and given it wasn't an announced incentive to use the webstore prior, that it is unexpectedly nice?

 

I know it doesn't match third party discounts depending on spend, because thats how percentages work, but if you are buying a direct only product (which is probably why you would have qualified for it in the first place) it is effectively a discount.

 

You could say 'Ah, they are only giving it to us to encourage additional spend! What can you get for £10 anyway', which I suspect is true but you could just pick a couple of paints, get them delivered to your local GW, and sell them on the mean streets to cheat the system, you cheeky rascals.

Hmm, should get one since I ordered both the Warhammer+ minis a month ago. Guess it will go to a Necron character, either another Hexmark Destroyer or the Stormlord. We'll see....

That's the difficulty with it I suppose.

 

In my case I think I'd other a FW or other direct from GW only model and have it shipped to the local GW store, otherwise I'd probably be better off going to a FLGS.

 

This won't work for everyone though.

2023 was the qualifying year, not 2024 :(

Meh, fair enough. I think I missed out on it by about twenty days then, as I ordered the WH+ minis last year as well. Would have been nice but no biggie- I can probably pick up what I want from a FLGS for equal to or less than what I would have spent with the voucher.
