What are you hoping to see in the new Krieg line?

Recommended Posts

I’m a Black Templar guy but the idea of a Krieg army is appealing. It seems like it would be fun to have but I want to know what actual guard players think will happen.

my guesses are

+redone Earth shaker cannons (it’s their thing)

+ new engineers

+ keep the battle line (doesn’t need changing

+ conversion kits

+ new heavy weapons

+ new Death riders ($120+ for a 5 man squad is nuts.)

+ redo on Hades drill

+ refresh on other models

thats all I got but I also don’t know too much lore about the Death Korps. I’ve only read dead man walking and Krieg.

Don't get carried away with expectations:tongue:

I can see them removing the extra spue that makes the medic and moving that into a command sprue,

They wont wanna charge KT prices for a Krieg inf box and they did say kt stuff would eventually get repackaged for 40k and removed from KT:ermm:

Medics shouldn't be in infantry squads anyway:tongue:

Engineers/grenadiers could be a dual kit:ermm:

Whatever the case, itl be a popular release:yes: (im planning mine to be a praetorian trench brigade)

I’m feeling cautiously optimistic!

I’d love a duel kit of Grenadiers and Engineers after all they’re both heavy infantry (it’s just a case of Hotshot Lasguns or Shotguns!)

I would be very surprised if there weren’t new plastic Deathriders. I’m hoping for more dynamic poses this time.

As for artillery, I’m kinda hoping for something brand new. Obviously it’ll be static but still would be a nice addition.

Loving the idea of Praetorian Trench Fiters!

Deathriders are the one thing I'm kinda writing off already. We just got Attilan Rough Riders, I don't think there's room in the force for TWO cav units that do basically the same thing.

If they changed the rough riders to be more anti infantry and death riders to be more suicide anti vehicle that could distinguish them.

I expect an upgrade sprue that just has a bunch of Krieg helmets on it to be applied to the other units from the army to turn them into Krieg based.

I'm hoping there will be a plastic versions of the FW artillery pieces, the Centuar & the Trojan. Just checked on GW site & Earthshaker, Thudd & Heavy Mortar have all sold out online, hopefully thats a good sign.

Plastic version of stuff like the earthshaker platform as well as more upgrades for krieg tank crew etc and the characters being all plastic would be nice

I recently started collecting Krieg starting with couple of krieg squads so look forward to getting even more as always love the amazing aesthetic they have

So ironic since Krieg started out as just steel legion with a paint job in the old Armageddon codex

Thats why I hope for the other way now. And have to admit that I find it a bit strange that Krieg have become the fanfavourites when they failed their mission in their book while the Steel Legion actually were able to keep Armageddon Imperial.

What are the odds of the Storm Chimera and the Centaur coming back?

When they redo the Chimera kit they might include more turret options.

As for the centaur, I don't really know.

It was a cute piece for shuttling around squads but I'm honestly not sure what it could even transport now besides a command squad. I could be wrong but I think everything is 10 man minimum.

It would struggle for a role.

Maybe for Grenadiers? Unless they move them to a 10 man unit

Krieg existed in codex art before steel legion.

But yeah the skull face paintjob was Darren Latham's army I think. There was another take in an Australian white dwarf using steel legion heads on cadian bodies. (pretty nutty conversion)

Plastic Artillery platform including Thudd gun, Plastic hades drill, Plastic engineers and grenadier. Plastic Death Riders, command squad, special and heavy weapons and Griffon mortars.

Not much.

Edit, a commissar and a special character.
