It seems that nearly the whole Krieg range is now “sold out online”

Hopefully this means we’ll see some previews soon!

Hopefully.
I haven't been able to find the plastic krieg squad either on the U.S. store.

They said there would be 3 waves of the killteam reboxing, we are still waiting for the navy breachers and arbites as well so I really wouldn't read anything into the kill team box not being there.

The fw kits on the other hand does suggest something

Love the centaur, so that, basically. Don't care if it's any good in game or not. Just want the model!

Right there with you, I have 3 of them and no one to ride in them unless I bring a scion command squad and call them grenadiers and at that point I am intentionally handicapping myself.

These blew my mind! I think they’ve smashed it with these.

Also I got everything I was hoping for.

The new artillery is just brilliantly designed.

Then there’s the Deathrider Character, exactly what we needed!

All I have to do now is wait for the box set to be released (hopefully I can get my grubby mitts on 2!!)

Wonder what unit sizes the engineers will come in.

im definitely proxying my orolocl veteran squad as an engineer squad. Gave them shotguns because shotguns are cool.

Looks like units of 5 according to the Box.

While Krieg releases mostly aren’t bad, they are clearly a downgrade compared to FW resin and we’re not talking here about changes necessitated by the transfer to plastic injection.

In Death Riders the cuirasses and honest to God long cavalry boots give way to metal bikinis and something not even offering knee protection, while they get questionable forearm protection and hand puttees… what? Oh, and they lost long coats (arguably more fitting for cavalry). For some reason head armour for horses now doesn’t protect whole head. It’s not that I don’t like the new DR, I just prefer the old ones.

“Engineers” are just Grenadiers with every piece of armour simplified and completely nonsensical front rebreather regulator (like Riders, for some reason), which basically even armoured makes one question what’s the point. Leg armour is also not attached to anything and lacks knee protection. The skulls seem to be a bit to narrow and too inclined. The helmet is boring compared to the old one. The running poses with shotguns look awkward. The demolition vehicle doesn’t fit Krieg aesthetic at all. The main issue is that I love FW Grenadiers. Love. They’re one of the best infantry minis in GW history and I wanted them in plastic with less sharp detail, not bastardized. I’m not sold on them for now. Maybe they’ll grow on me.

Artillery proportions are off. They all look very front “heavy” and too tall. They also seem a bit too small for all those mini platforms for the crew to climb. They try to be Big Bertha without being seized like Big Bertha. The long gun barrel is also awkwardly proportioned. But proportions are a common problem in the recent Guard vehicle releases and FW team has always been better at them. And had them better engineered. The sand bags not protecting either the guns or the crews…

Heavy weapons look good, even if the selection (lascannon, h.stubber, h.flamer) is bizarre. No h.bolter and autocannon? Seriously? But still, the best part of the release and I like them.

I don’t like the command squad. Period.

In general, many details feel less rugged and WWI inspired and more sci-fi. It also seems that designers didn’t think things through and didn’t understand the original designs.

Boxes rarely come with max unit sizes though.

Yeah, but most units that can be taken in fives max out at ten.
Since there's a unit of 5 in the Box, it's most likely a 5/10 unit.

(Assuming the Little Drill Bomb doesn't count as a "real" mini like the the Kommando's Grot and Bomb Squig.)

It's possible that the design team had orders "come down from on high" to make them less blatantly WWI themed.

66 datacards, so take into account new Krieg units, that gives us a ballpark for what's getting the axe:mellow:

Servitors and advisors for sure:yes:

Assuming aquillions get a spot as well.

Aquillions could stay as a Download tho
