Warhammer 40,000 Pin Advent Calendar

I know we all joke about heresy, but this is actually actual heresy. £60 for some pins and no chocolate:ohmy:

This is why we don’t have cheap things folks. They see people pay this much for a dubious value of an advent calendar and the plastic crack dealer be like “Well now, it’s toime  for anudder  proice rise, innit bruv?”

They are shiny though…*unconsciously scratches his neck* I wonder if they’re still available on the Canadian site. Just one more purchase, just the once this month. I can stop anytime I want after all.

Probably gonna get flipped a lot.
Whether split or whole.

Not sure it's going to have the market of the Chibis, but still:

I personally don't care for knick knacks or things like joytoys.

I mean isn't having to deal with the models enough?

Eeek $165.00 Aust :cuss: GW knows where it can stick those pins.... Right under the Christmas tree of Whales of course .....

I know... I know... it's your money and you can waste it how you want.... but golly gee you make it easy for companies to take advantage of people with ridiculous prices for cheap garbage

Rant over.

I mean, I collect a lot of armies so I'd get more value out of those pins than most.... but what would I do with all those chaos pins? My nephew actually collects pic badges so he's probably get the Tau one and whatever ones I didn't feel like keeping, but £60 is a hilarious price tag. Plus, I was collecting red poppy pin badges from charity donations but even then I just kept breaking them somehow, so I'm not going to bother with these, thank you very much.

I mean, £2.50 per pin is pretty reasonable when compared to what the same company/companies charges for similar designs separately (around £5.00).

Do I personally want 24 pinbadges? No, but then badges aren't my thing, I'm sure someone out there wants this, and if they do, the value is ...fine?

I'm always confused when there is a third party release, whether it's like the recent Ultimate Guide book or merch and folks on the internet are like 'I can't believe GW spent time on this! or priced it this way!'. Because they didn't, a different company did, it just has a GW stamp on it and they aren't going to tell another company how to price their plushies or whatnot.

Yeah, £2.50 each is a pretty great price, (pins in general seem to be crazy prices, paying £20 for 4 seems normal at conventions and the like) - its just having to buy 24 at once, is it then worth £60. i do like a few of them though - might buy it and chuck the ones i dont want on ebay and im sure i'll make my money back.

Also odd there is no Ultramarine one there, but is SW, DA, BA

As far as pins go, $4.25 isn't too bad- usually pins are hovering around $6-10 each depending on where you are getting them in the US. So, surprisingly, this is actually a fairly budget-friendly item from GW (even if it is sold out).

No chocolate because they are saving resources for the upcoming product which will be released this December:

MIA Primarchs´ Dark Eldar Waifu Calendar 2025!

Now you know why your Legion daddy decided one day to shop for cigarettes and never showed up again. Also BIG GUNS included! Men of culture will understand this reference.  :)

Any idea why they stopped doing the chibis? Seems like there is pretty strong demand on the secondary market!

They didn't manufacture them, Bandai did. Like anything that involves GW dealing with a 3rd party manufacturer it all probably comes down to contracts.

Like terrain, books etc. They all get discontinued despite demand.

Also the secondary market isn't necessarily indicative of mass appeal.

I used to really be into pins but not so much any longer, and these look small considering the price. not that it matters it's sold out.

I bought the space marine one a few years ago, I did end up selling it but that was a cool one. priced about the same I think.

The Bandai Chibi one had a 2yr run (maybe 3, but I'm 99% it was only 2), so I assume they figured anyone who wanted one got it. I expect next year there will be a new Advent Calendar, either different Chibis, different badges, or a completely new option.
