Valkyrion
I've got a 200cm x 120cm table which is fine for most gaming occasions, but I've a big apocalypse game to host this christmas and thought about adding a table topper which would turn it into 9x5ft. https://www.libertygames.co.uk/store/table-tennis/tops/sure-shot/ I suppose I'm fishing for alternative ideas, but £200 seems pretty reasonable, especially as it comes in two halves and I can then play table tennis on it one day - its whether or not a 40cm overhang on the long ends is going to be too precarious? Moonstalker
For that money you could get a couple sheets of decent plywood (not bottom shelf stuff), a saw to cut them with, and some felt to back them with so they don't mar your tabletop. Dr_Ruminahui
I don't think the 40 extra cm on the long ends should be a problem. As for the overhang, you'll just need to place it in a way that people are unlikely to bang into it (and warn them about it) as there is a real risk someone might catch it with their hip and give your gaming surface a real knock - which, even if not catastrophic, is likely to shift model placement. Is there any way to fix it to the pre-existing table so it can't shift if knocked?
