twopounder
Was cleaning out boxes and came across a bunch of old 35mm photos of my old warhammer stuff. I'll post more, but too tired to digitize them all right now. Here is 3rd Edition 40k on December 2, 1999 inside of Games Workshop. My DA vs BT. This was legit 40k back then. Note the Mordheim promotional stuff at the counter. As promised, adding more: This was the BT player's side A game at a friend's house using Mordheim terrain First table, but vs Orks Back then, we literally played with whatever we had. I think this is what made the game fun - it was about the experience, not the FOMO stuff that was in untouched piles in your hobby room. I think I was teaching someone how to play, which is why my army is fighting itself. This was my army on the paint station. It changed a bit after all the influencers hit the scene. But hey, best we had back then was an hour or two with GW employees at the paint table to learn. No youtube, books were of limited value, if you could find them. Not sure if Duncan was even born yet. We still managed to play fully painted armies in our games though :). Can't believe I hade a lineup of Azrael, Asmodai, Ezekial and Namaan. Eventually got Bethor too. This is just before I got Ravenwing and repainted my speeders black. That's also about 25 lbs of pewter on the table. That dreadnought could break a toe if it fell on your foot.
