Hi, just a quick question for those that know, does anyone know of any transfer sheets that would work for the Xana II Forge World? Since I'm painting these to go up for sale I would prefer sheets that are not oop and as much as I love Scumb4g Kustoms for custom decals it would be a lot more affordable to et off-the-shelf decals if any are available.

So far I have the default box transfer sheet and I have seen some interesting script from the Might Brush:

https://www.themightybrush.com/product/chaotic-runes-v2-waterslide-transfers-decals/

I'd like more help if possible though. The project is on hold currently as I'm going to be heading to Australia and can't take my stuff with me, but I'll be looking into it when I return.

Thanks for the help! :)

Ooh, I like those transfers from the Mighty Brush!  I'm working on a Xana/Malinax force too, and the transfers are tricky to find, unfortunately.  The original (and incredible) FW transfer sheet is OOP, but they occasionally pop up on Ebay.  I've managed to pick up two of them, but paid I think like ~$100 each.  The new Age of Darkness knight transfer sheet, though, has a section for Xana/Malinax on it, which contains a selection of the original FW transfer designs.  I've seen one or two of those on Ebay, and you could potentially make some money back by selling the rest of the sheet.  Legions Imperialis and Adeptus Titanicus are a good alternative source for transfers.  The black and white(? i know they're black for sure, can't remember if there's also white) LI knight transfer sheets have Malinax symbols on them -- there's a bunch of small black cog symbols with the "X" in them, little scorpions, the little triangle symbols in black, and black Xana script.  There is also a section for Malinax on the Legio Mortis AT FW transfer sheet that has colored Xana cog symbols, black and red triangle symbols, black and red little scorpions, black and red script, and I believe some  larger scorpion decals in black and red that would be appropriate for larger mechanicum models.  Like the AoD knight transfers, you may be able to sell the Legio Mortis portion and get some money back.  With one or two Mortis transfers, and some of the LI ones, you'd be most of the way there, only missing some of the larger symbols and banners that are on the new AoD/original FW sheet.

Do you know if Scumb4g Kustoms has Xana/Malinax transfers ready to go, or were you thinking of getting some custom made?  If the latter, let me know and I may be able to help with providing source pictures of the original transfers or splitting the cost of having them custom made.  Even though I have original ones, it pains me greatly to use them haha and it would be great for other people to have a source too.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to look into these. Regarding Scumb4g Kustoms he does great work but it would be pretty steep to set up custom decals for the army project I was working on and I'd have to ask  how close he'd dare to fly to GW designs. If it was a personal project I wouldn't mind but I intend to put them up for sale. I've never seen the FW transfer sheet so I wouldn't even know what to do if I were to try to stencil them or something similar.

I guess I might need to chase down spare decal sheets. I'm happy to freehand scorpions and stuff but geometric stuff is harder to pull off.

No problem, best of luck!  For what it's worth, I've never heard of someone having problems with "knock off" decals when selling models/armies, it's just the decal sellers themselves that occasionally have to take their decals down.  GW isn't going to bother searching Ebay for army listings and getting one listing taken down IMO.  And if you're selling it as a Xana force, I think it would actually increase the value to have the "correct" decals, and maybe even moreso if they're custom versions that still fit the lore.  The uniqueness could be a good selling point.

I was more concerned about creating hassle for Scumb4g Kustoms because I've ordered from him before and loved his work and didn't want to cause him any visits from GW legal.

On the plus side I have plenty of time to think about it as I'm not back home until mid January. I suppose I can just ask if he would be willing to undertake a project. It might be the best way to get enough decals. If you've got the decals to act as a starting point at least that's something. I've never even seen the decal sheet so I only know what I know from the finished FW models.

Ah gotcha gotcha.  I don't think it would realistically cause him any legal problems.  It wouldn't be apparent from your sale of the army where you got the decals from.  I have a feeling he'd be fine with it; I'm pretty sure I've seen posts from other people who have had him make GW decals.

But if you end up contacting him when you're back in January, let me know.  I've been meaning to try to have some Malinax decals made, but haven't had the time/energy to initiate the process myself.  But if you get the ball rolling, I'd be happy to give input and bankroll it so the community has a source for them.
